I think we found an alien infiltrator. Pop culture icon like this should not be missed by anyone on the planet with an internet connection much less from someone who claims to be from the USA.

I had this game recently where I became the target of someone's "attention" for "hiding" my crippled Mad Dog in the cave on Forest Colony. What the genius didn't realize is I was actually luring the Raven picking me off into an area where its mobility would be impaired. Sometimes dead people need to understand we can think for ourselves. Having some respect for others would go a long way but hey, this is the internet...

mop up mentality; "we'll let those guys, engage then roll up and finish the enemy off"
Lack of awareness; "look squirrel ! get it!get it!"
No aggression "but they got lrms!"

Last time I saw that, I was in a Locust, and he kept telling me that I was a bad pilot since I wouldn't get stuck in....
So I asked him, "Since you are a mech god, why are you dead, and I am carrying your ass?"

Or like a broken record they start chanting "just go in and die, ur th last 1 noob, wut r u waitn 4? u suk, end it alrdy, (etc)"
When they don't realize that it might possibly be that player's very first active battle in a personally customized 'mech that they thought would totally rock but came across a new scenario/situation where their setup only worked 50% at best.
The main problem is that the ones going on the mindless rants just don't sit back and think. Would be awesome if we could just hit a button and mute the offender instead of just shutting down all textbased comms. Like a voting process.. "Who wants (target player) to revoke their text rights for the remainder of the battle?" and if it's over half a unanimous vote.. (excluding the offender's vote) the offender gets muted, yay! Might be a bit much but.. nothing's perfect.

I had that happen in my first game, as soon as I told the guy that I was new, he became very helpful, telling me to go for the leg of the Raven I was chasing down in a Dragon....

Just a word or caution, you might want to go back and edit your OP. There is a rule against naming and shaming other players in the Code of Conduct.

I have been taking an enormous amount of friendly fire since the rewards change. If I am to be required to stick with my team but that makes it unsurvivable I guess I must be punished with much lower rewards payout. And yes, I complain a lot when I have sundry parts blown off by my own team.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice this. I've mentioned it in-game a few times but most people say "like that's new" in response. It just seems there is a mad race for kills now and if I brawl with someone I likely take more damage from my team than the dude I'm brawling with, its crazy.
Over the weekend I had a few encounters that were so infuriating it makes me hate the ban on "name and shame" here because their behavior and response when called out was deplorable.

Except that this happens quite offen.
I get killed because my team is too dumb to not stand right behind me and prevent me from backing into cover.
I get killed because the team suddenly sees I am taking fire and decides it want to be someplace else and leaves me to die instead of supporting me.
I get killed because my team can't take a second to look at the minimap and figure out we are being flanked and that only one mech (me) is trying to prevent this from happening.
I get killed because....well I could go on but I think I got my point across.
So yeah sometimes I rant and rave when my team does something stupid that causes me to die needlessly or our team to lose out of obvious stupidity. More often though, I just spectate silent because I know I am the reason for my demise and occasionally I will point out to the entire team just how boneheaded I was because I managed to do something massively stupid that got myself killed.
