Anyone know of a list that shows which house/faction/clan that each mech in MWO qualifies for in regards to the tourney?

I really am not that interested in the lore. Nor do I care whether peeps think the scoring is unfair and all that blah, whine, blah...

I get more out of getting in big robots and shooting other big robots and to have a chance to earn bonus c-bills while doing it is cherry.

Uh...really?

Clan mechs are: Kit Fox, Adder, Ice Ferret, Mad Dog, Nova, Stormcrow, Summoner, Timber Wolf, Warhawk and Dire Wolf. Everything else is IS.

So, what's going to stop every match from devolving into every single player tagging every enemy with a laser splash, and then stopping the shooting when any particular enemy is close to death?

I've no-life-try-harded every tournament I was around for, and did pretty well. But I no longer see a point in treating these events as actual competitions of skill, because there's little to none involved with these sinfully-abhorrent scoring formulas. Time to play the role of the face-rolling pubbie that I truly am, and just use this event to grind out my pervy cockpit item and c-bills that I'll no doubt use to purchase flamer and AMS modules for my Muromets.

Also, for the C-bill bonus, I do not see a stipulation that you must win your match to qualify; just that you must score 130. Last time we saw this bonus, you had to win. Did someone forget to add that condition to the text description or is the 130 score really the only stipulation? That will be great if all we have to do is score 130!

Everyone thinks that lowering kill points will prevent people from taking kills. No, it just means you'll get a few extra points. You will get the assist if it's coded smartly, but if it's not I can understand the fear.

I got a bit too excited and opted-in before changing factions, instead of following the steps as showed in the tourney page.

I now cannot switch to a clan faction.

Is that because i didn't follow the steps in the right sequence or because i am in a Kurita unit? It isn't too late to change unit allegiance or leave unit + change faction right?

[edit] ok now i am even more confused. lol. under my profile, i am clearly still Kurita. but my icon to the left has changed to Clan Wolf.

IS mechs IS units (including Lone Wolves and Mercs). Clan mechs for Clan units.

You screwed up the sequence. You want to change the faction BEFORE opting in. Whatever you had BEFORE you opted in is the faction you are representing.

The Forum Profile doesn't sync up with the in-game faction (especially if you are in a unit). That's normal.

Yea I'm really only in this for the Hula girl. With the raging herds of ROFLPUG-Fails in the solo queue, I'm not even getting my hopes up for cash bonuses this time. Turn on a day of Premo... run around shooting blindly at anything red and then run around in circles after I run out of ammo to dazzle and confuse my enemy as I get raked by a spam-shower of CU/AC5 slugs.....

oh yea... gonna be a hoot... especially once the whisky kicks in

I may have misread it or it got changed recently.

Basically, make sure you have it set up NOW before the tourney starts in 12+ (16) hours from now.

So, 10 less points than last time, but you get nothing from spotting assists? Why not at least leave the 20 points for a win in the CBill bonus?

And 100 games to get max CBills? Why?

Meh, it's better than nothing, and it's free stuff.

He was asking about the Cbills though, and it doesn't say you have to win, so I don't think you do. Previous tourny specifically said you had to.win for the CBIll bonus. This one does not.

ANOTHER tournament I can't compete in. Not only for MC but easy C_Bills that I miss out on too. PGI you do realize most of your paying customers have other stuff to do during weekends, right?

Make a week long/weekday tournament already. This is the ONE thing about this game that frustrates me to NO END.

Ah, I guess I read into it too much. I thought for a bit there that we would only be able to use Mechs specific to certain Houses/Clans.
