My question is: in what universe can a light mech freely attack a star of heavies with near impunity?
Awnser: we all see this every day.
The very simple fact of the matter is that light mechs enjoy such a overwhelming advantage in hitbox/lagshield/void/whatever that this kind of behavior happens all the time. But these same characters are always whining about how light mechs are under represented and so "nerfed" . The hypocrisy of these people is monumental.
EZ mode in this game is almost any light mech....there I said it....and like all truths it can't be unsaid. And go ahead and argue it isn't but there are legions of posts proving my point....from the same people claiming the TW is OP
You are all dreaming
What is funny Is that I am a player that had never, ever, not once in the entire time I have played this game complained that lights were nerfed or cried they needed buffed. Did I welcome the buffs for the locust...sure I did.... The game I described was not a normal game. Things happened just right....my team backed up my charge.... the other team focused on me instead of my team coming over the dune, I was lucky the first pass, had siesmic and picked the path that put several of their mechs behind the ones I hit.... reducing the amount of mechs that could even focus on me. This caused a lot of friendly fire on their end... lol.
They were at a point on the map that there was hills right behind them.... so I could duck behind and then come back through because as soon as I was out of sight... my entire team came up on the same dune and didn't rush them... but stayed in cover and hit them hard because they all was focused on me. Things just fell into place that game, and I do not think I have every played another match where team play in a pug match happened so well. I didn't take the Locust because of the magical lag or hit box issue.... I took it because I heard it was the worst light in the game...and the worst mech in the game period. The only light I have noticed a real issue with magical hit boxes is the spiders....and I have not bought even one of those yet.
As for the near Impunity? I never said at the end of the match I had more then a leg left, and maybe 3 small lasers. I think that my little Locust was at 31% or something crazy. Point is I lived.... and I have never bragged about this match... I have only brought it up to the ones that have said Lights are Under powered or, ones that have posted statements like Die did... lol. I have seen him in match many times, and have seen some of his game play.
They were big claims, not just for lights guys.... but medium pilots too. How many of you have gone up against a Dire whale or Timber or two and not only killed them, but lived to tell the tale? If some of you are experiencing the lag shield and lights are living longer because of it...that sucks! However.... I have sat in and watched some teammates on the battle field, and they can not hit the broad side of a barn sometimes... lag has nothing to do with it. There are some pilots that have put a lot of time in piloting light mechs.... and I am not claiming to be a great light pilot, but some of them are very good at piloting lights, and it has nothing to do with lag shields or magical hit boxes... they are just that good!
The only light I would say might be easy mode would be the spider or the Ember.... but even than.... in a Ember or any other light besides the spider, if you do not watch where you are at on the map and what is around you....You are DEAD. Even after the Quirks, Saying a Locust is easy mode is just as crazy as others crying about how under powered lights were. Did some lights need Quirks, sure they did, but to say they are underpowered is kinda funny.
BTW.... I have never said the Dire whale or TW are OP.... they are like any other mech out there, they have good and bad points and can be dropped just like any other mech. The amount of skill needed to take them out will vary, depending on how strong the mech is and the most important factor, how skilled is the other pilot in that mech?
You may say I am a dreamer.... but I am not the only one
