with more mechs you need carry more ammo too. or find ammo deployes on the map. yes I know lasers don't need ammo :)

Massive battles arent that fun cuz those who die early, and there will be a massive wave of shooting and a number of guys will drop in less then 10 seconds...the rest of the game for them is watching a TV screen pretty much, and thats just boring......if we wanted to watch TV, we would...but we get on a PC to play a game...staring at the you died screen...thats not playin the game.

The engine they chose to make this game on is awful at multiplayer (cryengine). We will not see much higher numbers (maybe 16v16, maybe) if any higher at all. If this had been made on a better multiplayer engine (Unreal) it would be a much easier task to have many more mechs on the field of battle (possibly up to 32v32).

but why use an engine that sucks at multiplayer for an multiplayer game??
dont they use some logic?

Alright, we need a map about 100 times bigger than Alpine peaks with various types of enviornments, then just have that be the only server. You drop and you end up in this area with every one else. Boom, MMO status

Make PS2 and replace all the units with Mechs. Respawns drop from orbit or come out of captured Mechlabs.

That would be friggin awesome. Hectic, but still awesome.

im thinking their should be 4 map sizes,
Small(River-City)= .................4 vs 4 or 8 vs 8- Lance Challenge,
Medium(Caustic-Valley)= ......8 vs 8 or 12 vs 12- Lance Challenge,
Large(Tourmaline-Desert)= .12 vs 12 or 16 vs 16- Lance Challenge,
Huge(Alpine-Peaks)= ..........16 vs 16 or 20 vs 20- Lance Challenge,
this will allow more match Diversity and more Team Lance cooperation,

Artillery and airstrikes might be a bit of a problem as well in a 36 vs. 36 game. Might look quite impressive though. :D

Heh. I saw this and was like "Waaaait a minute I recognize that." Looked at the image source and it was all I needed. That particular screenshot came from my old laptop. I really should drop in on DeviantArt more.
Cannot remember where I dug up the original, but that is really about the middle third of the image.

I find it funny around the 30 second mark where you have two groups of mechs charging each other with weapons blazing. None of the mechs go down or even take damage as near as I can tell. Not really relevant to anything but it gave me a chuckle.
