how exactly does a firestarte do 150 in the tunnel in river city night after he turned to run away formthe mech coming in from 1 entrance and i then had hit in the centre of his CT?

As for video, i don't bother with skype why would i bother to videop myself, i'm not part of this self centred generation who needs others to watch me to get gratification.

i happened, i'm talking about it, either believe me or not but call ema liarer and we'd have an issue if i was standing next to you in the pub. I'm a man of my word and in my day a mans word was enough till proven to be otherwise.

so your lowered yourself to name calling? that in itself speaks volumes.

i personally don't find TW's hard to kill, plus a Tw can't do 150kms and alpha 7 times in a row before overheating.

maybe you never played back in closed beta when it was shown how broken the small pulse laser was on a hunchie with 9 of them so they put in an engine cap.

Now you got a mech with 8 of them and going even faster than before with even better hit boxes than a hunchie.

As for thw TW this thread sin't about, nice try to side track the issue and i don't play TW's that much, i only bought them for c-bills to see what all this fuss was about as i kill them in droves,

but perhaps your just lack of knowledge my bade is that of the Summoner, my preferred mech or you going to say that the Summoner is now OP also to avoid the topic of discussion?

Timberwolves can almost completely frontload armor because of their rear hitboxes. So you are complaining about hitboxes because a mech that can abuse them beat another mech that abuses them, that you just happened to be piloting. . Id say its relevant but you go ahead and rage on.

i just your just plain unable to understand i prefer to use Summoners and it happens also now, just this was the lastest example i played in before posting the thread, get over your yourself or you just trying to be a troll rather badly?

thew key wording of your post is the firestarter is abusing it's hitboxes, thank you for agreeing.

this hang up you have about what mech i was driving is rather concerning. you should seek help with this single eyed view you have than being able to discuss the topic at hand which is the OP nees of firestarters now there quirks have made them the same as Jenners of closed beta status

Ya know I keep seeing you say this. Many of us were back in beta. I remember well why the mediums had their cap in place, I hate to break it to you but the pulse lasers had little to do with that nerf. It was the fact that lights were capped at a 280 XL engine and the hunchies could keep up with the lights and tear them a new one, lag shield and everything. M Lasers or SP Lasers, either build worked, i was more scared of the S Laser build than anything else with their speed. Back then I played a 6 SP Lasers Jenner, overheated like a SOB, guess and the Hunchie overheated even more,why? we did not have double heat sinks yet. The Hunchie was not feared because of Small Pulse Lasers, he was feared because of his speed. THATS why the mediums had the engine cap in place.

Before you spout what you think you know make sure you know all the facts. The fact is, continuous changes to this game, continuous fixes to this mechs, and continual improvements to the back end have made life for a light difficult at best.

Dude your so caught up about me using a timberwolf in that 1 example, get over yourself i drive Summoners almost always and only just drove a Tw this week, so get over yourself as the same thing has happened to my summoner form these (a's also

so if you got anything constructive to add about firestarters than say so instead of being so caught up ovewr what mech i was driving,

seriously you should see a doctor over this obession you have for what mech i was driving, think of the same example with a summoner instead for frig sake

That must be why the Light queue is lucky when it gets as high as 15% these days...

Is the original post a troll or do people really think that light mechs are "broken" - and that's why almost nobody plays with them anymore?!

Agreed.

If lights were soooo overpowered, than why do so few people play them? The queue numbers speak for themselves, and just look at the composition in a typical match. Getting 3 lights is unusual these days, and more than that is a rarity, barring Conquest, the only place where they really have a role.

And for being seperated from my team, again you make assumptions when in fact my lance had swung back to save the assault lance and a fello lance mate had entered the tunnel from the other side. So the firestarters i was firing at not only took my alpahs to the chest and alughed it off he also didn' taike damage from lance mate from the rear.

As to 4 firestarters, thats how many where in the opposing team total. So i hope that clear as confusion in your dumb head as you obviously have your own vision of what goes on and assume you must be a scrub when i'm told by quite a few people i play down how good i am as i for one down have the ego you obviosuly must have.

Oh did i say timberwolf? sorry but yeah i bought some for c-bills and working on there master module as i just want to master all clan mech even when the Summoner is my preferred ride.

The simple fact is you were beaten. Your aim is not is good as you think and perhaps that has more to do with a combination of latency and that Clan Med Pulses have a long firing duration which means the majority of your damage missed. 'Good' players recognize this is happening and 'good' players compensate. What your friends say about your abilities is irrelevant as they are purely opinions based on perspective and the scenario you describe indicates at the very least your aim is not that good and whats more you dont even consider that possibility, dismissing outright that the flawed factor might be you.

You've also been casting unwarranted insults at people that disagree with you. So not only is it not your fault because you're 'good' (Since your friends said so) and but you'll beat anyone that says otherwise... Looks like your ego is the size of a bus and yeah, you're a hypocrite. Apparently you dont realize any of this and I'm not surprised - your first instinct is clearly "I'm not the problem, they are!"

As for my ego and being a scrub... Maybe once you graduate from the kiddie pool you'll get to find out.

None of the lights are OP, except maybe for the Ember.

Its more of an issue with hitreg being completely screwed up than it is to do with lights "firepower"

When you get a 48 damage laser strike on a stationary light, and the most that happens is their armor turns from green to yellow, thats enough to frustrate anyone.

Everyone who complains about how light mechs are somehow too strong, are terrible pilots.

If lights were so totally op as they suggest, then theft could make videos showing how they can run those mechs and wreck heads. But they can't.

I dont even pilot a Firestarter and i don't see much of an issue with them, then again an AC20 round tends to send them scurrying back to whatever rock the crawled out from under. Furthermore The only time i have been dropped by one is by actively letting them hit my back.
