Oh c'mon, who don't like that one pilot who go right into the enemy line, dies and blame everyone for not helping him, even though the closest friendly is more than a kilometer away.

There are a few maps where it is easy to loose your Assault Lance if the team decides to run off. River City is one where the MM will typically drop an Assault Lance at the docks. If the team doesn't pull together and either push forward from the docks into that side of the city or jump into the water to help give the assault lance cover to cross over the bay then you are pretty much guaranteed a loss. Essentially there are a few drop positions on various maps that will put an Assault Lance in a bad spot to get rolled by the enemy.

I have in those situations explained why the team has lost in chat for not helping out the Assault Lance. I have seen some players realize what is about to happen and try to help and some even turn the tide on these bad drops but others are completely oblivious to the situation.

Yesterday I got dropped in a match with someone who admitted that it was his third game ever. He was in a champion Victor and did pretty well damage wise, but as I spectated he did some pretty dumb stuff like walking into base turrets and firing streaks at 500m+. I suggested he go read up on the new player forums and get some tips. I don't blame new players for being terrible, but I've been playing for 2 years now and shouldn't be seeing (C)hampion mechs in my games.

To address a few things:

I am talking about the solo queue, I haven't played group because I live in Japan and work full time with a family so trying to make a schedule set by someone in America is pretty much out.

The argument that you have to experience x amount of games before you have seen the worst of people is a poor argument. Each game is a unique instance with 12 chances of varying probability that you will draw the short straw on the Derp/Troll pull. In fact the longer I have played the less frequently I see the crap behavior because it usually gets culled fairly quickly. That said I have seen some really stupid actions taken by players and most of it was in my first 1k matches.

Damage doesn't tell the full story, that is correct. But most of the examples I have seen here are examples of someone making an error and getting wrecked for it. I have no expectation that a light mech score over 200 damage, though I know good light pilots who regularly score 300-700 damage. What I do have an expectation of is that if you are not performing up to the standards of a good pilot for the mech you pilot that you really have no business commenting on other peoples shortcoming without taking a good hard look at your own. If you are running a light mech, get caught out and wiped for it, it is a mistake you made, not something your team did.

Lastly, calling out someone doesn't change behavior, particularly if they don't know why the behavior is a problem. The only thing it does is satisfy your frustration. And I'm not suggesting that people shouldn't do that (even though I think it is pretty pointless). What I am saying is that if you aren't performing at a high level, then you really have no business calling out other people, unless you like being a hypocrite and a tool.

To illustrate what I mean about making errors and getting wrecked for it:

I was on the new map, entered into the channel between the bones and a plateau. About .5 seconds in a DW appears just past the end of the channel behind a tree. He obviously saw me first because I saw the red triangle at the same time as I caught an alpha in the torso. The move ahead was far longer than to spin and retreat so that I could try a flank, so to save armor and time I spun. Just so happened that an Atlas pilot had moved in right behind me so I spun and he ran into me as I took a second volley in the back. The channel was narrow so while I managed to finally get by him I took most of another volley on the left side. The little exchange put me into critical in every box except my head and right arm, which is precisely what I would have faced had I made the charge to the first turnout, except that would have put my weapon arm in danger.

Walking or standing behind someone at a choke point or peeking over a ridge is tactically stupid and tantamount to trying to get them killed. But here's the rub, looking back at it I could have taken a split second to look before I entered the channel and would have noticed the mech following me in. That was my mistake. And that is the point. Calling out the Atlas pilot does nothing, calling my team stupid doesn't do anything, either. What does make a difference is if I look at what I did that may have created the problem and learn from it and thereby becoming a better pilot.

And after that little mishap I went on to finish the match with 6 kills 3 assists and 907 damage, 4 kills and most of the damage occurring after the snafu.

Almost agree with OP but... one question to people:
- When you guys start to take a look on minimap!? When!?

I feels realy embarasing when you die doing 500+ damage just because your team mates do not watch some silly flank or brawling lance back. Actually for a long time community need an Tactical Manual for Random.

Another thing, when you see that some few mechs are penetrating the enemy line meking them to retreat don't stand and watch, regroup your attackers to let them cooldown and don't let enemy to play back the reached offence point.
