brawling is way more fun than sniping

I see no problem with it.

All we need now is a nerf to indirect lrms and a buff to direct lrms and artemis.

This man is a genius. GIVE HIM A RAISE!

There is not too much brawling! No changes needed. Game is fine.

PPC meta is dead, thank heavens.

Yeah too much brawling!

Oh wait the only fun part of the game is brawling. There are a bazillion sniper/shooter games out there for people to hide behind hills and snipe.

And...LRMs are brawling? 'cause like 30-50% LRM mechs in solo queue are NOT ENOUGH?!

Need sniping give sniping weapons it sniping attitude... I'm talking about PPC's and Gausses.

For exsample here is still Light/Medium/Large and Heavy Rifles in Battletech which delivers 4/6/9 and 13 damage across long range around 1800 metres. Plus we already by TRO should get Silver Bullet Gauss Rifle which is just 1 tonn heavier than common GR but got impressive range of 2500 metres and got precharge mechanics instead of common one but longer cooldown and bit bigger damage +1dmg.
If we talking about TRO3052 as a common tine scale Kurita's already have exra-prototype capacitator for PPC's increasing PPC's speed, damage +5 and heat +5. What I not understand is why C-ERPPC have now 10 damage instead of 15 it got.
Plus to that IS still don't have Blazer Cannon for medium ranges if Kurita's extra-prototype capacitator is not an issue now?

Where is Arrow-IV? Just where?

Is Russ aware about such things? <_<

To me one of the reasons is that Clans have had an advantage in long range weaponry. IS mechs had/have greater advantages with shorter ranged weaponry with less heat.

Basically IS mechs tend to need to get in close and brawl with Clan mechs to stand a chance to survive and be most effective.

Don't even want to talk about LRMs...

Let's get sraight... IS got:

Mech Rifles with an effective range of 800 metres and total range of 1800 metres.
ER-PPC's which got same range of 1800 metes and effective range of 900 metres.
Gauss Rifle and Silver Bullet Gauss Rifle with total range of 2000 and 2500 metres.
ER-LLaser and Blazer Cannon

Is this not enough to TRO3052?

Don't see a problem with brawlWarrior Online...Not dead 2 minutes into a match from being sniped is a good thing.

But brawlers can put out much higher alphas than snipers?

Compare getting your face chewed off by lasers, SRMs, and an AC20 or two, at 300-ish meters, to having a torso blown out by three to five PPCs at 900, with the mechs firing at you hidden in an ECM bubble, as they poptart from behind a hill.

Snipers aren't hated because they're deadly (though that is also a reason), they're hated because you're dead without a chance to fight back. This is also the reason for some of the LRM hate.

Now they are nicked'n'sticked for TDS-5/7 or a "discobolt". Have one, good at the 400 metres range, out of it it's an LST/Large Slow Target.

I love the changes the game has gone through lately. I'm seeing less 1000 meter gauss sniper tryhards and more hard hitting, close matches than ever before.

Last night on the new swamp map, I had the best match I've played in months. It was a closely contested Conquest match, and I darted and jumped about in my Mist Lynx as a massive 12v12 brawl erupted all around me.

It felt like an ACTUAL Mechwarrior battle. SRMs, lasers and LRMs flying everywhere, mech's exploding... It was glorious. I'm so excited for the future of this game when maps like Viridian are coming out.

Snips are not hated as Lurmboaters. LURMs are hated cause mostly LURMs ignore an obsticle due their firing arc.

You obviously weren't here last year, during the poptart sniper days I referenced.

LRMs are the new poptart, due mainly because of how overused they are. What I said there, about snipers being hated because the tactic didn't allow the mech under fire to fight back? Same deal with LRMs, with a bit more focus-firing. Taking LRM fire from one mech isn't bad, taking fire from a mech you can see isn't a problem. The problem comes in that all they need is one mech to see you, then you're hiding behind a rock from about two hundred missiles, because it's the only way to avoid watching your mech melt around you.
