The first few games I had with this mech was very bad, but ever since I tried the 4 medium laser, I've had pretty good success, now playing with ECM (1 large laser + 1 medium laser)....been getting about 3:1 kill ratio, more wins than loses and been top 3 scorer in about 60% of my games....I am beginning to like this mech alot!

Mist Lynx can be very powerful in the right hands and is actually much more agile and a better jumper than the IS Firestarter. That being said, Firestarter is still a much better mech.

So unfortunately yeah Clans really do suffer when it comes to fast lights and cannot replicate the tactics used by those superb IS 35 tonners which is why we need the Arctic Cheetah (and a bunch more Clan mechs) introduced ASAP. We need some good 45-55 ton jumpers as well such as the Shadow Hawk and Huntsman, something to compete with those nasty dual PPC Shadow Hawks.

I guess we're missing the Viper, as well as perhaps the Grendel, though that one is somewhat newer.

technically the s variants haven't even been introduced in the Battletech Universe timeline, but we have those already. They were introduced as a response to the Inner shpere tactics but shouldn't be out for another 6 months yet.

There is no reason not to introduce the Viper (Dragonfly) or other, more modern, mechs...

Honestly, the game will stagnate quickly if they stick to a 1:1 timeline... who wants to wait 8 years or so for the next major influx of mechs, or 9 more after that....

Is it not a standard mech, though? Also extremely lacking in variants until 3060. Still would be hilarious to run around with 12 mguns. XD

Well, it allows for 2 TimberGods and a Loki; I guess it has that going for it.

It isn't terribad on Boreal defense, it managed to get 1400 damage. Of course, the DoomCrow doing the same thing with 2 ERPPCs managed 2400, with only 5 additional minutes.

It has since been replaced. It doesn't do anything well, aside from trolling. Too hot for Sulfur, decent on Boreal. Too much of a risk.

Hey, the sole reason I just mastered my Mist Lynxes and have started dropping in them. Can't decide which I like better:

Prime with ECM arm and then 2 x MPL in the other arm. not much damage but on the cold map it can't build heat no matter how fast you fire.

B with 4 x CERML. Sure, it has no ECM but I can put the hard wired CAP to good use by chasing ECM lights making base runs and putting pts of damage into them when possible. Runs hot.

On offense I save it for last and will try to fly on top of the generator.

I prefer running 2 timberwolves, a stormcrow, and an Adder.
I feel like I get more done and I am a lot more viable.

I've seen the fire power and the rest of the mech and everything is good except the fire power. 2 CLAN MEDIUM LASERS REALLY!!! Well that's just one build

This mech is sub-optimal imo, on regular matches due to the nature of those matches, but you can truly shine in it, in CW in my experience.

Though many disagree I find the Adder a useful 'mech as well especially in CW where its "weaknesses" don't really matter and its strength of 16tons of weapons on a 35 ton 'mech really shines.

However, I just have to have that Hellbringer Prime in my deck--not that my Stormcrow was a waste in there I just feel that running 3 heavies is nice.

at least you can go places not even spiders can, big jumps on the little dude, 1ERPPC, 1 ECM and its fun to peak and poke.

I definitely enjoy my lynxes. Ecm+ppc, 2ml+2mg+srm6, 4ml. All 3 builds are fun minus the occasional one hit kills in the back.

I'm starting to enjoy my Mist Lynx. My two preferred builds:

1x ER Large Laser, 1x ER Medium Laser + ECM
2x SRM6 + 1x SRM4

These two play completely different, but both need you to jump like crazy, avoid IS light mechs and stay with your friends.
