The map looks like a nice upgrade from the existing one. Any chance of see the drop ship window to comment on it?

i said it already, and i´m sure it is true... i don´t think so... no 2 DWFs only... he said somehwere it has to be 4 mechs, just the 1/1/1/1 was lifted in favour for the weight limit, because ppl complained they didnt have mechs of each class...

now there might be 2 ppl in the world who only drive 30 tonners, but i doubt it will be many more ;)

((if you are thinking the way like "i can take 2 dwfs and just take 2 20 tonners to fill up... sure, if you want to gimp yourself and ruin 2 of your 4 respawns, go ahead ^^))

I do believe it's been ruled out, it's 4 mechs between X and 240 tons. Not sure what the minimum is.

And considering there aren't any Clan 20 tonners in game, nope. 1 Dire Wolf is the maximum.

Contract length seems too short for me, if a group is not so competitive, lets say playing 1 to 3 times a week, you may play a faction per week, switching sides everytime or you are not able to play for a week you lost that contract, i would prefer 15, 30, 45 days seems longer but not that long.

The IS map is AWESOME.

Would like to see that dropship painted hotrod Black and hotrod dark red with a nice Wolf Spider logo slapped on the side of it. How about it PGI? Uniform colours for units with custom decals... //:;°°;:7\

the revised contract times seem a little on the short side now, well the first three, as the 7 day contract would be about the time it takes to load up and get there, wouldn't middle ground between the two be better.

other than that seems perfect

There's one major concern I have that nobody else mentioned.

Since you respawn only after you have been killed, players can take advantage of this by leaving your mech crippled and NOT finishing you off. Imagine having all your weapons stripped or even being legged in a slow mech (on a large, open map no less) and not being able to contribute because you can't respawn until you are dead.

I really hope the devs know about this potential exploit.

The easiest way to avoid this would be to allow self-destruct.

It would be cool if your faction level was max or your reach X level you could vote on a third planet to attack per front as a "community’s choice attack". Or just one planet and that front will be the only front to have a "community’s choice attack". The voting could take place 1 or 2 hours before a new round would start. This lets faction loyal people have a reword that isn’t just cosmetic and makes them feel like they have achieved something big. It’s like being a high level officer and advising where to attack next. If let’s say a faction does not have any high level officers then the computer decides were to attack. This allows the community to have a say in were to attack but it does not give up control of the game.

Though I did not complain anywhere, I, for example, qualify for one of those people who don't have a mech in each weightclass. Actually I have two medium chassis and one heavy. The thing here is, I did not buy any MCs (yet). So the CBill grinding to buy all the needed variants for eliting, equip all those variants, not to mention the scarce Mechbays, leave me with not much of a diversity in chassis.
(the second medium chassis I still haven't finished eliting)
But I've recently done my first purchase with MWO (a Resistance Pack), so I will - in time - have also a chassis in the light weightclass. Wu-hu!

I just wanted to mention, that maybe there aren't sooooo few people, who don't have mechs in each weightclass.

It has been stated that a MechWarrior will be able to eject... so while the enemy gets a vote (by damaging you!) you get to hit the eject button if you are legged (on a large map and rendered combat irrelevant) or are reduced to being a walking stick, etc.

Fine by me, 2 atlases and 2 locusts to suicide in. So long as suiciding in said Locusts wont get me banned being that theyre forcing me to play that way

Exactly what Id be planning on doing instead of allowing them to FORCE me to play something I dont want to.

OR Ill stop playing entirely. Whatever works

ah one of the "i play my 100 tonners and refuse to try my luck in anything lighter (even if that might be better)" kind of people... feel free, but dont complain when you end in a close match and an must watch for 10 minutes because you "suicided" 2 respawns... thats entirely up to you... this system allows for quite alot of possible dropdecks, no one forces you into something ... (in fact, your attitude forces you into 2 locusts that you obviously don´t like :) )

only thing this prevents from is everyone taking 4 assaults with them, plus it encourages to take lighter mechs into consideration...

and yes, if you dontlike it at all, just play the usual random deathmatch, that will still be available,...

Ironically, I play mostly heavy and assault

I have four mediums and four lights. But yeah. Keep on lol

Light mechs make me vomit and having to have a barf bucket next to my pc just to play dropship mode isnt something I intend to have to do kthxbai
