Economy: Finally Sold Off 3/4 Of My Is Mech Due Poor Rewards And Extreme Cost Of Modules

I realized this after I did a month long experiment where I basically turned MWO into a second full time job using every "Real Money" advantage I could and only earned 87 million.
So finding myself needing roughly 45 million C-bills just for modules in less than 14 days and due to the low C-bill rewards even while using Premium and hero mech plus the extreme investment cost required to outfit 4 mechs with their own set of unique modules. I ended up selling off 3/4 of the IS mechs I previously owned plus about half my stockpiled IS (and some extra clan) weapons and equipment.
Even after all this, I am still 18 million short and if I want/need to switch up my drop deck with anything other than they 4 I am currently planning on using, then I will be short even more.
On the upside. I now have have quite a few free mech bays so I won't have to buy any of those any time soon.
The point is, the economy is brutal and needs a boost although dropping module cost would help alot. Also it is costing PGI money. If I had been making enough C-bills between using hero mechs and premium subscriptions to play for the things I needed and wanted, I would never have sold off any of the IS mechs I owned. This means I would have had to have bought more bays as I expanded my collection. Instead the lack of income ended up forcing me to sell off mechs that, while good and enjoyable, I tended to play less often in order to outfit the mechs I intend to use in CW. This shouldn't be happening, not for a player who has invested significant amounts of real money into income boosting products and services like premium time and hero mechs.
Please review and fix PGI.

the only module you MIGHT need is a cooldown mod for your main weaponry btu thats about it.
most of my own mechs dont have more than that and i dont have any problems to stay competitive.

I said to myself "Self, if you're overall earnings have dropped to the point that the PT bonus really doesn't give you anything to get excited about, why buy it?"
And Self answered "I dunno, stop buying it"
And i said, "Thanks Self, I will."

That's pathetic. No where in his post did he exhibit any sign of entitlement. None.
I'm sick of people on forums (not just these) shouting "entitlement" everywhere. It's a sorry excuse for a post. Try harder next time. You completely failed to hit your target here.
The OP does bring up a good point, however, on module costs. They're high... real high! In many cases your modules on a 'mech can cost significantly more than the 'mech itself. That's warped. For a piece of equipment that sits on it. For that kind of money I'd like to see a rolex watch on my 'mech's arm or something. Like the one on this dood...
(For some reason linking time doesn't work--go to 1:22 to avoid bad language and get to the point)
The module costs probably should be reviewed and reduced--or as we've heard hints of, completely re-designed how they are purchased and placed on 'mechs. When it costs 48 million c-bills to put radar derp and seismic on all four of your 'mechs... well, that's just a little steep.
But the devs said they're thinking of something. Hopefully it is a bit more reasonable.

I have put off buying any more weapon modules until the whole quirk thing shakes out.

You realize that you don't need to fill every module slot on every Mech you have, right?
Sure, it's nice to have all the toys you want, but it's not a necessity to play the game or to be viable in CW.
Since it's not needed, there's no need for PGI to fix anything.

His feeling that he's entitled to make 150 million or more C-bills in a month, says to me that he is...

If it makes you feel any better I've purchased, sold and then re-purchased several Hero mechs.
(One more than once!)...
Yeah, It has "stupid" written all over it eh?

It's also a choice that the OP made on his own. There's no need to have full modules on each chassis you own.

The difference is 50% ... you earn half again as much with premium running than without. Opinions will vary as to whether that is negligible or not.

By the time CW is on more solid ground you would have made that C-bills objective well before.
Too bad we can't buy Mechs between ourselves, that would have been some sweet deals there ^^

Dude cool off. Yes modules are expensive, however what else are you going to spend vast amounts of cash on? I know guys who literally have millions of cbills. Modules give a very small bonus and they're intended to be high end equipment.
At the end of the day the game is ******* free, yet you complain about the most insignificant things. It's kind of a joke, especially when you consider that there are some problems that really do need fixing (e.g. state of certain mechs like the Highlander), and instead you complain about this.
