Any chance you could show us some alternate-color versions? Just to see how the color channels play out.

I didn't know it was going to look even better than what I had in my mind's eye.

Beautiful.

And yes, a big LRM landing pad, too. Hey, mech's gotta be weak against something...

As far as I know, you fit it, it shows it. I'll check though.

KGC was designed as a straight upgrade from the Atlas, and was more than capable of taking an Atlas down with little trouble. The only reason they didn't replace them was because all examples of the KGC left with Kerensky.

Also, the KGC has a C&C variant, the KGC-010.

So... Yeah. :/

From Sarna, KC was put into production in 2741 and the Atlas entered production in 2755 and was the more versatile and better command mech of the two. The Atlas was also more widely produced but that was probably because the plant making the KC was destroyed early on during the civil war. The 010 would be a great mech for MWO IMHO. Two LB-10x, Two PPCs, and two six-packs with the heatsinks to keep it shooting sounds like a win to me. You can build a similar load out with a DDC Atlas in MWO but the weapons will be in different locations.

Looking good but my observations are that this is a mech you do not want to face head on - just like all other assaults - but this mech will really hurt you and for a substantially longer periods of fire fights.

The Crab looks so wide (front on and sideways) I do wonder whether it will get picked apart when flanked. I also wonder how much protection the arms will give to the side torsos?

I wonder how it will fair as a LPL and ASRM build as the weight of a AC20/Guass (and ammo) can support a couple of LPLs for pin point damage, no ammo dependency and potentially faster cooldowns. May just depend on how many heatsinks you can fit.

At least we IS players get an assault that can take it to the Clans with a variety of builds.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers!

It was nice to see a good pilot in the cockpit. And in the hands of a good pilot this thing will rock!

But I am not sure it is as noob friendly as the AS7 DDC or the energy DW builds. Big CT and if you don't know how to twist or rapidly twist-aim-fire you are going to get wrecked.

And has it been tested to see if the CT is a missile magnet? Always a possibility on these new releases.

Thing of beauty though.

I believe this thing needs a whole new body part to be created to take into account that top view area ^^ (well the Dire probably does too with its hoody thing above its "head" )

Locust players, let get ready for King Crab Season!

Also...please let the release of this bring down the heavy queue so I can use my Dragons without having to wait an eternity.

How many LBX10s can you fit? can you get 4 with enough ammo and a backup or 2? that is what i want.

I really want to see its hit boxes please? That wide top is going to be an LRM magnet. If you get NARCed in one of these, you are as good as dead when the LRM rain comes.

Thanks Sean.

I actually like this one's skin much more than the AS7-S and CN9-AH.

It appears the 3rd hardpoint is on the inner side of the claw. I wondered about that... I couldn't see where they would fit the 3rd hardpoint.

Thanks!

All of the ballistic hardpoints are in the arms. Each arm contains a shoulder and upper arm actuator, leaving the remaining 10 crits open. An LB10X is 6 crits.
