A Balanced Is is not a Problem, where PGI has to find a Solution.
They may give us tools for the Solution, like the actual Liao contract Bonus.

The Solution for a balanced IS, can only be achieved through the Community, and has nothing to do with the Beta Staus of CW.

That's an opinion. It is broken and will have more layers added on. So..pointing out that it is beta is relevant because it means it is not the final version, and therefore will by virtue of the definition of the word be changing and evolving. certainly your point that part of the solution involves the organic formation if community is valid and that is something we can help with...so let's get to work.

However it is my opinion that the mechanics are broken and you need more than just slanting the money tree to fix it.

The other point I was making was....let's relax...have fun the game is a thousand times better than it was a year ago.

Oh ya and the 4TCR kicks rat but B*TCHes ;-)

Regarding Kurita, we do have a good sized amount of units, our problem is actually timezones. There are about as many active units in the North American timezones for Kurita as there are for Liao. A lot of our numbers are well informed, dedicated units from Germany and France that have repeatedly been seeing all their gains flipped over while they sleep with little to no chance to affect the current balance of CW, which causes a lot of (very understandable) frustration for them.

Ya my dragon comrade, this is some of the broken I was referring too, tell your troops to keep the faith after all dragons are famous for keeping the faith ;-) and while PGI is putting their thinking caps on and recovering from Christmas bloat we might organize a little detente/cuddle puddle between Liao/the combine of the dragon/Marik to sweep the rats and vat brats down into the sewer where that kind of stinky belongs. What d'ya say dragon want to eat some rat?

We over at the 4TCR.com are willing to coordinate with euro units, for maximum effect, please speak to us on our ts to work out the details of the dinner party if your interested.

I'm actually a north american timezone member and can't speak for those groups officially, but our teamspeak for all kurita units is house-kurita.enjinvoice.com . If you or anyone else from Euro timezones would like to coordinate drops with them, I recommend hopping in the 11th legion of vega's channel and contact them, they're mostly based in Germany and should be able to explain their situation better to you than I can.

EDIT: I almost forgot, but I'm sure the same is possible to arrange with north american units as well if you'd like to do a little cross faction synchronization. Again I'm not a member of these groups and can't speak for them, but 9th, Arkab Legion, and Night's Scorn all have teamspeak channels there as well and are active in North America if you'd like to establish a line of communication with any of them. Hope this helps you all Capellan friends! Stay strong!

The one thing to remember is for different Houses/Clans will have different planets to defend/attack. Innersphere vs Clans then Clans vs each other and IS vs each other.

So the DCMS (Kurita) does not have the ability/access to assist the CCAF (Liao) on its borders against FWLM nor AFFS.

Do not get discouraged though. One of the major ways to continue to grow and improve this is for PGI to actually introduce in-game chat (faction/house/clan) lobbies/room/bars/planetary/etc.

May be if we put them in separate buildings, take away their forums/emails/cells/phones/IM/beepers/string & cans/etc they may add it sooner than later... :)

The problem was not enough Liaos... so you made sure there was one less Liao?

I'm not sure I understand the logic here.

Simply. Your logic is flawed because you don't live in GMT +8.

It's pretty simple, and I'm not sure how you don't get it. The problem for the Liao faction is there is not enough Liao people for it to be "fun" for them. Each person has no real call to play a game that isn't fun, and switching factions is easy to do. He has no reason to make himself have less fun so that the rest of the community can have more fun at his expense.

That actually is the biggest danger with a power that always wins. People will get tired of losing to them and switch over to that faction and that will make playing against them even harder and less fun... which will cause more people to flip until nobody is having fun because they are all on the biggest faction's side and there is nobody else to fight.

In other words, it's pretty fun to play for the Harlem Globetrotters... maybe not so much for the Washington Generals.

More or less yeah. *something* has to happen to bring either a massive influx of players to the game, or to redistribute population in cw. Disabling the effects of ghost drops on the CW map would be a great fix for now and probably encourage people to sort out into whatever faction they like most rather than everyone piling into the winner of the month.

Can't take them out though. Then the best way to defend a planet would be not to.

Nobody can control all of their pugs. I'd really like to see that happening en masse before I'd believe its a real problem. Besides, its a nicer problem than ghost drops for anyone who isn't davion.

Yeah, It's sort of hard to hope that a system that encourages no-fighting to get put in place. That's worse than what we have for everybody. "Don't defend the borders. If nobody is there nothing happens!" That completely shifts control of attack from the attack to the defender.

Nobody cares about Warlock, again we lose vs ghostdrops due to 0 defenders there. All other liao pilots are gone, busy attacking davion planet and there isn't anyone to defend. 1 davion team can capture the planet with ease. Come before it's not to late, 1 hour and 30 minutes left.
