I mean come on. You gotta admit IS was going no where pretty fast till the Clans invaded. We can all agree that if the Clans didn't give IS a common enemy they would have just kept fighting till they ran out of mechs. Plus you get all that sweet tech just for fighting the Clans. Light fusion engines, LB-X 2, 5, 20s, UACs 2s, 10s, and 20s. Better Armor.

Everyone benefits if you surrender.
You get some pretty sweet guns.
Those terrible governments get fixed up or disbanded.
Better mechs for everyone.

Come oon, gotta admit those clan lasers are pretty sweet. Why rip them of and try to make a franken mech with that tech, when you could understand how that laser works, and figure out how to make it even better!

You know you want some of this sweet sweet mech right here

speaking of which. Why am i seeing Liaos fighting the clans? you guys need to take the opportunity and take some Davion space. House liao pilots call your pilots away from the invasion zones and start invading the Lyran Commonwealth and Federated Suns!

Besides their can only be one big green in the invasion corrdiors

I dunno, this afternoon I've been beating back attack after attack by silly lemming Clanner pilots. And last time I checked, the Draconis only lost one world. Perhaps you should join us and see how MechWarriors pilot real 'Mechs.

LOL yeah you're right all of the IS should just give up and become slaves in your "great" systems of government. After all people love being told,"Oh you were trained to be at the top of your field that's good. Too bad you were not born in a lab so here is a bucket and a mop go clean the toilets. Oh you don't want to be a slave no problem we will just kill you and decimate your home planet." BTW I mean decimate in the correct definition of the word, to reduce by 1/10. Doesn't sound to bad right well if you decimate a planet of 1 billion that is 100 million souls put to death. I hear the Clanners now "We wouldn't do that." You would indeed end up having to do that because the IS is filled by freebirthers. You know people born free and who don't want to die being slaves.

Clanners have many freebirths as well, but they usually do not get into the warrior caste or even further the mechwarrior ranks. Clanners do not usually make war over the planets and kill a majority of the inhabitants there. So being freeborn does not automatically make you cleaning toilets. But maybe with the currnet state of IS tech and science your university degree students hardly can maintain a standard clan toilet
But soon the new generations of IS children, that will be able to benefit from the better education the clanners bring and then they also can do some better tasks.
Clanners usually make small tournaments where they make a battle in a controlled surrounding and the winner grabs the object of the battle.
