It is not that we want your mead.

We NEED your mead!

Well, you can´t have it, its ours. The only way you clanners can get your hands on the real A-Grade mead is becomming FRR warriors. That stuff we left on the worlds we lost was the stuff we give to mercenaries. And we do not have the reputation of being nice to mercs.

You can´t handle the real dead anyway.

Second that.

Don't be foolish FRR just hand over the Mead and we will go on our merry way towards Terra. Also Prussian would that logic mean that Natasha Kerensky was Ever Clear? I know for a fact ALL of Clan Nova Cats' Trueborns were made from Abstinthe.

Trondheim Live, Daily Report : Special Report

Lyran Commonwealth - Traitors to the Inner Sphere
--Of all the Houses in the Inner Sphere, there is one that is determined to see the death of the FRR. Steiner never did recover from the 4th Succession War, where despite all their gains into Kurita they were forced to give it all up to the "formation" of the FRR. That wound never did quite heal, and when the Ronin Wars broke out soon after it was Kurita, not Steiner, who came to fight off the rogue Draconis Combine units.

So it comes as little surprise that it is Steiner, who in the FRR's most desperate hour, refuses concessions to the FRR to allow them to take planets in order to avoid the Clan Invasion. Indeed, Steiner has fought back every step of the way, even going so far as to take back planets the FRR captures, fully knowing that they have nothing on the planets they flee except submission or destruction - likely both. Steiner has shown no remorse however, only pointing selfishly to their own 'glorious fight' against the Clans, and how it's infact the FRR's fault for not going along with them in the first place. One FRR Commander after another stated such statements were "conceited"; to put it politely.

The FRR isn't the only faction to ostracize the Lyran Commonwealth for its actions either. Marik, through both action and statement, has continually belittled the Steiner platform as being egotistical and self-righteous, this going into the supposed 'Star League' talks on Wazan taking place in the near future. Even Davion, once a staunch supporter of their FedCom brethren, have been strangely silent.

One thing is for sure - for all the talk of one faction or another 'betraying' the Inner Sphere, no faction has more solidly cleared the path for the Clans then Steiner. Not only by ignoring the FRR's cry for help, but actively seeking to destroy it.

As the Faction leaders try and conviene on Wazan, the TL,DR would like to remind ALL factions of the Inner Sphere.

-It was Steiner who signed a peace treaty with the Wolves, so that they would focus more on the FRR.
-It was Steiner who refused to sign a peace treaty and Non-Aggression Pact with the FRR not once. Not Twice. Three times they have refused to sign; even when coming to the FRR with the treaty in pocket.
-It was Steiner who, after crushing the FRR while their worlds were under fire from three clans at the same time, refused to give those worlds back to the FRR, claiming it was the fault of mercenaries and not the Steiner Military. But when pressed for reconciliation, Steiner would absolutely give none.
-And it has been Steiner, who instead of supporting the FRR, covering their retreat and even taking the great pride of saving humanity's last great democracy, has systematically sought to destroy it outright. In many cases making it their priority to ignore the invading Clans and wipe out the FRR.

Steiner may claim that, like the FRR, they have three attacking Clans. They are suffering from multiple factions targeting their worlds, and it is unfair that the big, bad FRR jump on the bandwagon. What Steiner refuses to accept - so that they may continue their genocidal campaign with clear conscience - is that unlike the 365 worlds the Commonwealth still has comfortably in its possession, the FRR has less than fifteen.

Remember poor Steiner. Weep for poor Steiner. Who were so threatened by a nation-state of less than twenty remaining worlds, fighting for survival against an onslaught of highly-skilled warriors from beyond the Rim, that they couldn't just leave it to die.

They had to kill it themselves.

FRR Keeps up Spirited Attacks
--Despite multiple factions hastening the demise of the FRR, the KungsArme continues its desperate push into Steiner. The battle-hardened warriors who have fought the Clans tooth-and-nail are now in a struggle against neighboring Steiner to take planets and get away from the Clan Invasion front, which has all but swallowed up the FRR. Resistance over the last few days has increased significantly, and many planets have been retaken after their capture by Steiner units.

The FRR's attacks have been described as 'hostile', 'pointless', and 'hastening their own demise' by their detractors in the Commonwealth. Those who make those claims against the FRR have not seen the cries of the families turned away from DropShips escaping FRR space. Those politicians have not seen the worlds of the FRR devastated by the Clan Invasion. Those generals have not seen the absolute futility of the logistical nightmare that is defending against not one Jade Falcon and the occasional Wolf corridor, but at times all four clans attacking at the same time. Those people have not seen the anguish of the KungsArme, unable to do more than evacuate what people they can and leave the rest to the fate of the Clans.

The FRR is not fighting to fight. The FRR is not fighting to doom itself. The FRR is not fighting to allow the Clans a better shot at Steiner, or mess with Steiner's defense against the Clans, or their counter-attacks.

The FRR is fighting to survive, to weather the worst storm in its 16 year existence. Any other claims to the contrary have been thoroughly disproven by actions, facts and simple logic.

Multiple Factions Fighting for FRR
--Marik has sent many defenders to the FRR worlds, and have found surprising company in other units. Reports are unconfirmed as to the size and numbers of units defending the FRR, as absolute chaos has broken out on the worlds of Wheel and Altenmarkt. Reports indicate that in addition to the Black Widow Company, several other Marik units dropped to defend FRR worlds. Likewise, units from Liao and Davion - a complete surprise, seeing how the two are long-time enemies - aided the Marik push. Of particular note is Liao's GateKeepers. Unconfirmed reports suggest even the odd Kuritan pilot managed to get in on the action.

In all, no less than 4-of-5 Houses have come to the defense of the Rasalhague Republic.

While the fighting is far from over, celebrations have started spontaneously breaking out in major FRR cities across the Republic, as the hopeful salvation of the FRR has brought new life to a people who have all but resigned themselves to subjugation.

FRR <15 Systems
--It seems hard to believe, but less than 15 planets remain affiliated with the FRR. The Free Rasalhague Republic is crumbling at the seams with no clear path for the future.

Around the Sphere:

Reform the Star League - Marik Leads Charge on Wazan
--Marik has taken charge and called for all Inner Sphere factions to gather on Wazan, to discuss reforming the Star League in opposition to the Clan Invasion. Many factions have responded with interest, though there is a lot of skepticism as such a move could be to secure even more power for decidedly the single most powerful House.

'Marik Embassy' Grows Larger
--It's no surprise that Marik has been expanding - its just the 'where' that is raising eyebrows. Marik has taken an additional 4 worlds from Kurita, in what seems to be an effort to prepare for the defense of Terra from the Clans. As the most powerful House faction, many are eager to see if Marik can do what so many have failed to - stop the Clans.

Liao Pushes towards Capella
--It just isn't the 'Capellan Confederation' without Capella - at least according to Liao. After re-taking St. Ives from Davion, Liao began driving coreward towards the Capella region. With all the success of late, Capella is no longer a loss they can never hope to see again, but a conquest just a few jumps away.

Kurita Enveloping Davion
--Kurita, bloodied from the never-ending battles against Smoke Jaguar, has found a little relief in Davion - or taking Davion worlds at least. The drive towards Robinson - deep in Davion territory - is less like a spear and more like a wave, swallowing and consuming all before it without fail. While Davion fights hard, with three factions on the offense its easy to see why Davion has been falling more rapidly with each passing day.

Strife in the Clans; Multiple Inter-Clan Contests for Corridors
--Some say it's for the best corridor to Terra. Others, its a matter of pride as to which Clan has been the most successful in their Invasion. For others it may just be the boredom of facing no true adversary on Inner Sphere worlds for some time. Whatever the case may be, it looks like there are many inter-Clan conflicts arising every day - Bears vs. Wolves, Bears vs. Falcons, Bears vs. Jaguars, the list goes on. Whatever the rhyme or reason, it can't be anything but good for the Inner Sphere.

Many thanks to the units from around the Inner Sphere who are holding back the clan advances this evening as we continue to move our citizens towards the southern borders while holding off the Steiner offense!

Move north then - Free your Homeworld.

Taking a bite out of Steiner is going to cost you teeth and will damage the IS by pulling warriors of both our factions of the clanfront.

What you Steiner guys dont understand is this: While you fought two Clans at the worst times, we fought all 4 of them more often than you fought those two. When your faction drops in force, wins 90% of its matches and STILL loses between 6 and 12 planets a day you look for something else.
Our attack on Steiner was nothing else than the attempt to escape the Clan onslaught.

Furthermore, Steiner and the FRR talked about signing an NAP three times and each of those failed because Steiner said no, instead you opted for an NAP with Clan Wolf. Steiner undermined the defense against the Clans almost from the beginning, instead of standing side by side like the FRR and House Kurita did, you chose to walk your own way, and the map of the Inner Sphere clearly shows where that has brought us.

Do you think its going to get easier for you, now that Clan Ghost Bear can attack Steiner? I don´t think so, Ghost Bear aggression will be too much for you, as it was for us.

Unless of course, your inter-mercenary relations prohibits aggression between Ghost Bear and the Lyran Commonwealth. That would be a shame. Even some of the feds seem to be getting fed up with Steiner decisions. God help the Commonwealth if Ghost Bear does decide it wants a piece of your pie.

Return of the Star League

Over 70 delegates from Six Houses and affiliated Mercenary organizations gathered in the Free World's League, on an unassuming planet called Wazan, to discuss something so earth-shaking it had only been mentioned in only history books for almost 300 years.

The Star League.

Truly, few coming in believed it was possible. Could these factions, many who have been warring for generations, really be brought together? Could the hate and bloodshed be left on the field, and out of the conference room? Surely it wouldn't be more than a few minutes before the Davion's and Kuritan's were at each other's throats, and the Rasalhaguian's and Steiner's would quickly follow suit. The whole thing would be a sham, and would fall apart just as quickly as it was brought together; just as quickly they'd return to each other's throats.

So the conference began, doomed to fail from the start. It continued for more than two hours of heavy negotiations; those too were doomed to fail.

And yet.

Despite everything. Despite all the odds against it. Despite all the animosity, the egos, the roundabouts and excuses given by various parties - in spite of everything against it, the foundation has been formed. The gears are moving.

The Second Star League is at hand.

It started with a promise from the Free World's League. No one faction would rule over others. No one person would hold all the power, all the glory, to Lord over the others. No, this League would be a parliament - a rule by the representatives of each faction, with no one faction hoarding any more power than another. "But what about the Mercs?" some asked. It was decided to include the dedicated Mercenaries in their own Faction - a self-policing Faction that would keep track of all the mercenaries of the Inner Sphere, and ensure that any mercs found to be clanner spies would be cast out from the rest. Thus, the birth of the MRBC - the Mercenary Review and Bonding Commission was born (though the name is still out on that title).

What about the inter-fighting between the Houses? Surely with such bitter feelings, units and individuals would go rogue - or simply cease fighting on the Clan fronts due to battle fatigue. Surely the Star League was doomed to fall here. Miraculously however, The Star League came to an agreement - the League was formed in response to the Clans, and for no other reason. It would not babysit inter-house warfare. Still, to keep peace between units - and everyone focused on the Clans - the Star League requested a "soft ceasefire" between all houses. Such a concept was foreign, many relented. "Impossible!" said some. "Impractical!" said others. "Inconceivable!" said a few, though they may not know what the word means. Yet Marik surprised all in saying they would work with the Davions, a very heated front. Liao responded the same, pledging to halt attacks on the Federated Suns. Even the FRR offered the hand of peace to Steiner.
"What about when we get bored, or have rogue units or....or....or....?" The Star League can be a middle-ground for all units to convene. They can ask for scrimmages with each other, react to trouble-maker units, ask for assistance through their representatives. Nothing is impossible so long as we talk.
The passing was almost unanimous.

As the meeting wound down, the League discussed its more tactical and administrative proceedings, much of which is highly classified. However, one message was clear: The Star League would not let the FRR go quietly into the night. They would defend the FRR.

The most impressive part? With the knowledge of the Wazan Conference on the horizon, the FRR's Allting Council held an emergency meeting, in anticipation of each House putting forth a Representative to chair the Parliament.

Lord Daemonwulfe of the Skjaldborg was elected as Representative of the Free Rasalhague Republic to the Star League. With him are Damon Howe and 'Starwolf1991' (who preferred to go anonymously) as the Lord's Second. As parliamentary meetings are scheduled to be held in the future, each FRR unit - already recognized as part of the Allting - has already been informed that their voice in the larger organization will still count as well. The incredible amount of forethought by the FRR has many Houses scrambling to organize in the same fashion; as it seems the FRR has out-planned even the Free World's League to a small extent.

Regardless of how the building Star League organizes, or what decisions are made from here on, this moment of time - when friends and foes alike came across the table, to shake hands and put aside differences for a greater purpose - will be immortalized in the hearts and minds of not just the Free Rasalhague Republic. Not just the Federated Suns. But the entire Inner Sphere.

Clan Invaders, can you hear us? Can you see us now? If you can't, you will soon.

The Star League Defense Force swears it.
