Welcome to Trondheim Live, Daily Report! Your go-to tri-vid news from around the Republic and across the 'Sphere!

We'd like to take this brief moment to tell you a little about us.

We started as your every-day local news letter/propaganda machine way back during the Fourth Succession War. At first we did little things - the 'Down with the Dragons' dance party was particularly delightful - but soon we had attention of big whigs around the planet. We were particular fond of short snippets of news rather than long, drawn-out articles that everyone skims but doesn't actually read; get the intel out there, leave the fluff for talkshow hosts. It wasn't long after that we started broadcasting across the greater Rasalhague District, and our efforts for independence were joined by others. Our particular expertise in satire and sarcasm (as well as comedy to uplift the spirits of the people) were sought after, and when the Republic was born in 3034 the Coordinator himself used us as one of the means to broadcast the information across the Inner Sphere - sly *******, we have to give him credit for that one.

Ever since then the Trondheim Live, Daily Report has been the 'Voice of the People', and we have proudly listened and shared their voice for the last 15 years. While our home broadcasting station is still on Trondheim, we have long since learned that to keep our voice alive, we must stay mobile. Thus, our headquarters and staff will - reluctantly - remain anonymous.

But now my friends, that voice is under attack. Already many worlds have been claimed by foreigners and enemies - some familiar and some new. As the Trondheim Live, Daily Report we swear to you, noble Vikings of Rasalhague, that we will bring you the words of our soldiers, the tears of our civilians, and as many accounts of the battlefront as we can give you.

And we will never, ever stop broadcasting.

---

We apologize for this extended broadcast, and we hope you continue to listen in.

FRR loses on fronts. 3 worlds lost in a day of mourning.

Ghost Bears hold Leoben - take Basalt.
---In a day of blitz offensives, Ghost Bears route a persistent FRR counter-attack on Leoben that saw the entire planet conquered for a brief time before Ghost Bears broke their self-appointed "Batchall" to bring reinforcements in. Likewise, a separate Galaxy reinforced by Wolves managed to finally overrun the Basalt defense, which held strong for one day.

Wolves take Harvest, easily hold off counterattacks.

Steiner takes Al Hallah in last-ditch assault. FRR pilots fight valiantly but are forced to relocate to Clan Frontlines. Orestes cut off from rest of FRR.

[SoR] takes Bassarabia in a fast-paced run and gun with Steiner units. Only FRR gain of the day.

FRR and DCMS ceasefire holds - minor skirmishes from pirates on both sides turned back.

Around the Sphere:

DCMS lose Turtle Bay and Constinople to Smoke Jaguars and Ghost Bears. Turtle Bay held out for 3 days. Reports indicate mass civilian casualties unrelated to battles for planet. Investigating.

Jade Falcons of [Lord] Galaxy break ceasefire agreement, take Clan Wolf world.

This is a great use for this account. I would try to get it pinned to keep the faction abreast of any changes or urgent needs.

FRR holds strong, 2 gained, 1 lost.

Ghost Bears take Svelvik.

--Wolves gain an inexplicable attraction to mansions, specifically Chateau's, in final hours of engagements.

[1stH] takes Kobe from Steiner in joint assaults with other FRR units.

[SoR] holds key world of Rastaban - mead production unaffected by battles, hops fields safe from engagement.

FRR and DCMS ceasefire broken; [ASE] takes world of Ardoz; [ELP] among others try to take Setubal but fall short.
--FRR leaders ask for Merc units to abide by contracts and cease attacks on DCMS worlds; offer Setubal as fair trade for Ardoz.

Oresetes Threatened!
--Cut off after the fall of Al Hillah, Steiner forces move on Oresetes, attempting to take the FRR District Capital. To arms brothers! Show those fisters how to take it!

Suk II falls into FRR hands with [ASE] leading the final push to take the world.

Orestes holds firm.
--In a fight that saw units from across the FRR joining to engage, regional capital Orestes holds against multiple waves of Steiner invaders. [QQ] surprised the enemy defensive positions, encircling an entire battalion which was forced to surrender. When accused of breaking rules of engagement common in the Inner Sphere, the [QQ] leader replied, 'Sorry, you can cry about it later.' Nevertheless, Orestes is still a hotbed of fighting.

All quiet on the FRR DCMS front.

Oresetes Threatened!
--Cut off after the fall of Al Hillah, Steiner forces move on Oresetes, attempting to take the FRR District Capital. To arms brothers! Show those fisters how to take it!

The line holds! Ghost Bears stopped!
--Ghost Bears have been halted in their advance through the Free Rasalhague Republic for the first time since their appearance on the FRR's periphery border. Mercenaries and loyal House Units alike rejoiced as a combined push managed to force the Ghost Bear's to retreat from their attack, with [CI] taking credit for leading the ground troops. Ghost Bears have prepared a new force to attack the world again, but for at least one day it remains in the hands of the Republic.

Wolves held at bay!
--It has been 3 days since the dreaded Clan Wolf has managed to take a world from the FRR. Rumor has it that clan infighting and multiple fronts have taken their toll on the unit, blunting its initial aggressive attacks.

Domain falls in spectacular fashion.
--A covert [CI] Unit managed to Hot-Drop into Kusson, the capital city, and wipe out a majority of the defending forces before they could rally. [CI] dealt the defenders substantial losses in equipment but surprisingly inflicted few human casualties.

Orestes holds firm for second day. Steiner units regrouping for a third attempt at taking the world.

All quiet on the FRR DCMS front.

Around the Sphere:

DCMS holds Brocchi's Cluster from persistent Smoke Jaguars for second day. Jaguars have been struggling to fight off a persistent DCMS defense.

Marik and Davion exchange worlds; Wazan recaptured by persistent Davion units.

Liao and Davion both take, lose a world to each other.

Clan Wolf pushes back, retakes Butte's Hold from Falcons.

Jade Falcons halted in their assault on Steiner for the first time since hostilities began.
--Marks first day that not a single world fell to the clans. Truly something worth celebrating!

The TL,DR is looking for stories from the front lines. We have been roaming tirelessly for first-hand accounts of units bravely fighting for the fate of entire worlds, but heavy fighting and quickly changing frontlines has forced our journalists away from these hotly contested areas for their safety.

We are willing to pay a sum of c-bills for each story - restrictions apply.

Send us a message today, see your story on the tri-vids tomorrow!

The line holds! Ghost Bears stopped, pushed back!
--After loss after loss, finally a victory! Ghost Bears have had their front stopped at Hermagor. For three days the Bears attacked and failed to breaj the planets sturdy defenses and sturdier Shieldwall of Mechwarriors. And today, marks the first day a Clan world has been retaken by the Inner Sphere! New Bergen is now back in the hands of the FRR, and shores up the defense of Rasalhague!

Fight on, noble Rasalhaguians! For Odin stands proudly by your side!

Wolves finally take Kirchbach, Lovinac soon follows.
--After days of stalling on the front, the Wolves have taken two worlds in two days. With so much effort focused on the Ghost Bears, the Kirchbach defense was weakened enough for the wolves to push through. Their advance, however, is anything but stable.

Despite no ceasefire, Steiner/FRR border quiet as both choose to focus on their clan invaders.

All quiet on the FRR DCMS front.

Around the Sphere:

DCMS holds Brocchi's Cluster from persistent Smoke Jaguars for fourth day. Jaguars are unable to make any progress against a combined Inner Sphere defense.

Liao and Davion both take, lose a world to each other.

Butler nearly retaken by Steiner on the Jade Falcon front. No Steiner worlds lost in day of heavy fighting.

Trondheim Live, Daily Report Presents:

News from the Front Lines

"New Bergen Offensive: Operation Santa's Beachhead"

In a stunning turn of events, the Free Rasalhague Republic has become the first Inner Sphere House to take back one of their worlds from the oppressive Clan Invasion. On December 19th, 2049 at 0600 UT several mercenary corporations along with support from KungsArme units Hotdropped onto the plains outside of the Planetary Capital.

Ghost Bear units planetside were of garrison strength, but bore the proud flag of Ghost Bear's Alpha Galaxy - recuperating after so many assaults over the past week. Reports are unconfirmed, but evidence points to the 50th Striker Cluster was one of the premier defending units.

Dropping first into the fight were the mercs of the Phoenix Legion, led by a man going by the name of "Warchild" Corsair. The Legion, veterans of the Hermagor defense, were able to secure a LZ for following waves, which took charge and pressed the assault allowing the Legion to nurse their heavy losses. Following the plasma trails of the Legion were RageQuit Merc Corps and Aseveljet Merc Corps, who upon landing immediately began pushing the clan units back before they could begin to mount a serious defense.

"After all these days of humiliating loss after loss, after tearfully watching from my dropship as we fled world after world...it felt good to take one back," said one of the merc commanders. "We mercs don't always see eye to eye, but for once, we came together, as one, and beat these pigs at their own game."

After pushing on the Ghost Bears defensive positions outside the capital, KungsArme units hotdropped behind them directly into the city, where their intimate knowledge of the city allowed them to outmaneuver the Clans. Nevertheless, the Clan forces managed to avoid destruction and escape the planet.

"Mark my words; today's victory is sweet, but today's wine will be tomorrow's vinegar." Mercenary and KungsArme commanders are already preparing the defense of New Bergen, as Lovinac falls even as the operations on New Bergen wind down.

The battle may be won, but the fight is far from over.

Mmm, retaking New Bergen was delicious. And let's give a shoutout to the Steiners holding off the Lords at Persistence, which is certainly living up to its name.
