The problem is you keep dropping the same decs on Attack as you do Defend.... Using your same short/med range builds that do great on defend on attack is a complete rook mistake I see over and over and over...

o i take long range builds. problem is, before IS even reach the gate you get damaged from mechs standing near the objective. clans can shoot trough the mountain pass all the way to far behind the gates. only decent range IS has is erLL and gauss. but clans can pack even more of those without a double torso XL. all i see when fighint clans is erLL shooting trough the mountain pass on a cold map. thats a challange to fight.
forgot to add erppc. but clan has the same with 15 dmg

Just like the Clan Vs the Inner sphere matches the Clan are tough
One time on the sulfur map the Clan kicked our Butts in like two min after the gate opened

I'm glad my builds work good for brawling just as much as long range. Clan tech yea!

Move faster, stay under ECM and hug mountains on approach... I see tons of IS streaming up center of the road on every approach...
Smartest battle against IS I have been in dropped 3 catapults that rained terror.... total distance cover and good lights providing tags and narcs made for a hell of a match...
Truthfully, my defense and attack decks are COMPLETELY different

Speed, power, stealth, durability, I would give my right nut to have my TW (ok maybe not my right nut) on my IS drops
The IS has there lights and there LRM's one of my best Mechs is my LRM light I can quickly get into position or change positions

This. ^
The range they enjoy pretty much sees the IS get boned before they really get through the door. And they can attack from one gate to the other with the right weapons.
Just got out of a match where players on our team started suggesting we simply eject and let them have it so we can get back to the queue quicker. People started to snap! I felt a sense of sadness. Because there was little I could do. They would not listen once enraged or disparaged by the situation.
The only thing I could do is come to the aide of two others that were caught behind the gate as the Clanners rushed to overwhelm them. Just the three of us managed to give them a good bloodying and force some to turn back to the gate. Didn't last long though. By that point they had the numbers.
Let's face it. Pugs on attack/counterattack are going to have a hard time no matter what PGI does. Which really makes CW more exclusive.

its that way because you CHOOSE to play it that way. As a clanner, my unit NEVER sits back and snipes, we rush in, punch out as many mechs as we can, regroup, and do it again.
SHORT BUS SEPCIAL all teh way.

Exactly - I have given up trying to get a victory because it just cost me a ton of cash actually leading a charge. So now I use all of my guass ammo on my Cat 3d and GI and then I worry about advancing. I say this out of major regret, but it just seems to be that folks can not get past farming damage.
