It is not the brute fighter it's a mech you can use for all kind of play. Normaly you can lead the fight with this mech, because every type of Lance can use one and at least it can jump a bit.
Ok it shouldn't be more than one of the standard type in a Lance, but the one can help at every range met enemy in battle and doing damage.
Good Looking it does, too. From my opinion, so.
I am looking forward, if it would be in.

I'd be happy with any of the three, however. Although I don't understand the Shadow Hawk love as much; I get the nostalgia factor (it was on the cover of everyones first rulebook, after all) but that thing is a steel coffin. Its weapons systems are all over the board and do not compliment one another, it's WAY under armored with too many ammo tons in the torsos, and the inferior jump capability is rarely useful.
Like I've said before though, any jumping medium would please me. Even an Assassin. Or a Phoenix Hawk.

The -2H was definitely not designed with a min-max mindset. I would have dropped 2 heat sinks, added 2 jump jets and another ton of armor.
Still, I agree that "Its weapons systems are all over the board and do not compliment one another,' but I see it as a good thing in a medium. I consider mediums to be floaters, hopefully able to fill several roles. A varied weapons system on a mobile platform compliments the pilot. He gets to go where needed, and do what needs done.
Sure, it can be taken too far, but with something like the -2H, I feel like I have options. With the Griffin GRF 1-N, I know exactly what I'll be doing, and I know that I'm not much good at any other role.
Still, just a personal preference.

Nice.
Wolverine was always one of my favorites, though mostly the latter variants with Rotary AC's and such.

Dragon was originally designed to be a shadow Hawk replacement which is why weapons loadout is similar. However, they are both great platforms with numerous varients.
Wolverine is inspriation for the Hellhound...(go checkout sarna.net for details). I play it in tabletop and megamek and its flat evil and capable of taking on heavies and assaults with the jumpjets. I think it could be very effective in MWO.
