How the hell did you face a 12 man in the solo queue. Even with sync drops, most of their team will be spread out to both teams in that match, with some probably in other matches too.

Is this what CW was all about ? Certainly feels that way . Still it's only redeeming feature is longer battle time and multiple drops ... other than that it is quite boring and gets very old very fast . 2 years and this is what is on offer?

Nope. That was a very experienced premade. I've had matches where we've beaten premades, but those guys were just very skilled.

And they were tryharding as hell. Lots of clanmechs with JJs, ER-lasers, PPCs and overlapping fields of fire so even opening the gates was pretty difficult (which was btw a first to me). No chance in hell, especially on the ice map.

You have my utmost respect, but are, in my experience, sadly an extreme minority.

I think this was mis-communication.

There are NO groups in the solo queue... but there ARE groups in the public queue, but only if you're part of a group... at least last I heard... if that's changed, so be it... and if people are seeing behavior outside of what PGI is stating, report it as a bug.

I think you are confused.

there are three ques:
Solo Que: No groups whatsoever
Groups Que: Uh, groups. 2-10, and 12
CW: solos, groups, premades, ravaging bands of hobbits, evil clanners. Basically, there is no restraint here.

so, if he dropped in the solo q and faced a 12 man, he didnt drop in the solo q.

And here is it again, the hypocrisy i'm talking about:
The point of TEAM BASED games is to play against other TEAMS, so the teamwork is a fight between two equal forces. In this situation, teamwork developes complexity and gets interesting. Planning and adaption becomes an neccessity.

Stomping pugs, whuich have inherently less coordination, is not what teamwork, or Community Warfare, is about. This isn't about PUGS and Premades, both can exist just fine in CW, it's about MATCHMAKING.

I think you are misunderstanding what I mean by "solo queue". Solo queue as in NON-CW drops. If you are running into 12-mans in solo queue it is a huge bug because it has been explicitly stated that there are no groups in solo queue.

There is no "solo queue" for Community Warfare, just as there is no matchmaker in Community Warfare.

CW allows solos to drop.
IT IS NOT A SOLO Q.
You will fill in as needed, be it to finish an 11 man team, or to fill in with 11 other pugs. to face whatever filled up on the otherside.

I understand your point, you feel matching pugs against pugs and teams versus teams would fix the problem. But you are missing the point, that CW is primarily about teams v's teams, it's supposed to be end game content involving teams. The good thing in MWO though is that it is inclusive, anyone can play if they CHOOSE to. Contrast that to CW in WoT, where you HAVE to be in a team, and won't even get a look in unless you have Tier 10 fully tricked out tanks. Please don't beg for separate ques all you'll encourage is large teams swamping the solo que trying to sync drop so that their hard teamwork on planets isn't lost elsewhere. Better that the solo players get the chance to drop with teams.

Both sides (solo/small group vs 12man) need to be able to enjoy CW. The whole CW is "hard" mode or what bullshit you like to spout does nothing but damage the possibility of this game continuing to succeed. CW will not work without everyone being able to participate and enjoy it at the same time.

I apologize, yes, I meant as a two man drop. I realize in hindsight, this is not the "solo" queue. However, folks are not ONLY saying they have this problem as single PUGS, they also are mentioning in small groups. That was my intention.

Yes, god forbid we gave them 2 years past their initial announced release date. This is entirely our fault for their setting their own deadlines.

In case you didn't notice, there isn't a matchmaking system for CW. You queue against a 12 man on the same planet, you are fighting that 12 man. If you want to play matches in game mode that a matchmaker will try to pair you against opponents of equal skill, solo/group queue does that for you.

The whole point of CW though is.... to fight, by any means necessary, to conquer/defend planets. splitting the ques removes that entirely. no longer is it an actual battle, its a series of games that means nothing if your "other side of the q" isnt doing their part.

As it is now? it promotes people working together, forming groups, running politics, assisting players, and generally BEING A COMMUNITY to move forward.

Im sorry, but if youre being stomped because the other side has big premades, your best choice is to match them in firepower, by building a big premade.
