Actually, the alcohol there is great, too.

It's OK, Bishop. I know the LARPers are scary people for going outside and having fun.

Given, this might scare Bishop a little too. Only a little. :) Battletech Orcs, on the other hand...

Posted Image

Not nearly as scary.

The only type of LARPing that isn't silly....... (well, it still is, but we beat the crap out of each other with large bludgeoning weapons...... and we party better)

The funny thing is, you call some SCAdians LARPers and it's fightin' words. Buuuuuuuttt...

Posted Image

That's Bicolline up in Canada, a LARP.

Posted Image

And that's Mythodea again...

Posted Image

And there's Pennsic. We -are- all cousins, after all. The big difference is fewer bruises from the latex weapons vs. the rattan ones from the field battles for Biccoline, and the fun "in town" for Mythodea (pit fighting and gang brawls, yay!).

Having party experience on both sides of the argument, I would posit that both party very well and the booze (home-made and otherwise) is excellent regardless, but I had fewer deep bruises to numb on the German side of things. (Heck, a fair chunk of Mythodea's folks are re-enactor types and SCAdians- we DO crossbreed.)

And to keep things robot related, there's stuff like the goblin dreadnought pictured here. We've got giant robots (and golems). Chicks dig giant robots!

Damn, I miss that.... That was lots of fun. Nothing like sweating buckets in full armor when it's a hundred degrees out beating the tar out of each other with ratan sticks....

That was last summer for me :D

But back on topic, with PGI taking steps to make third variants, I would really like to see them make the Coyolt, 40t Clan medium, and the first real omni mech... Also a quick little thing... 7/11 in TT....

Ok, I must be over analyzing it.... I stare at SIP traces all day long so I'm probably going a bit cross-eyed by now too....

Enter the code manually. no copy and paste. I've had this issue with other redeem codes.

sometimes copy and paste copies a space before the code which will invalidate it. So always click before it and hit backspace to be sure.

In addition, when it was first sent, the code had not been activated, so us "first responders" could not get it to work even manually inputting it. That has since been fixed, though.

OK, so it's pretty safe to say the UrbanMech will come in the next few months.
Thank you, PGI. Heavily quirked, this little guy can have a role in the battlefield (specially in CW).

As much as an Urbanmech can be a joke, low speed, little tonnage... Used in a city, they can be devastating in TT, especially the version that mounts an AC20... I have learned to be cautious of Urbanmechs, Annihiltors, SRM Carriers and Infantry in cities...

Like all mechs there will be a learning curve to adapt to it's abilities. Those who can't will call it DOA and be wrong, those who can will find the enjoyment we want and need from this little mech.
