Looking at the concept art, I think it'll have bad hit boxes, with a nose like that.

I could go either way. Not my choice, but looked at the Symmetry and figured TRO 3050 needed to be as closed to finished as the Engine allows

Hmm... does this smell of April Fool's joke? Specially because he said there will be a hero (in this case, an omni hero - something Russ discarded last Townhall). Or maybe they are just probing the people's reactions towards the Viper. If the reactions are not good enough, they can just say it's the April's Fool joke and stick with the other mech.

I think it's a fine addition. Will it sell super well? - no. Will it be super popular one day? - if heavy quirked, yes.

shouldn't be much worse than a Raven's hitboxes. I need to look up the torso hardpoints on the Dragonfly tomorrow, because the Arm ones will of course, be roundly ignored by most people, unless it has to have them to vomit.

Packing the Charlie with a Prime RA could make a fun Jumbo Ember, though, 4x B and 1x E (CT) 2x E (2xRA/2xLA), pack something like 4xMG (ammo x2), 1 X ERLL (CT) and 4x ERSL (2 per arm) for those who laugh at meta.

Cbill Mech for my Clan Acct. Would have to have a very good Hero or other incentive to get me to buy it, but that's because I just ain't wild for Vipers. I think it still looks pretty MEH, not any fault of Alex, it's just that like the Kintaro, some mechs, you can only do so much for.

I will probably end up buying at least the minimum package,maybe upgrade we will see. You see the unit I rep, I gotta atleast own local production. Rights. Though I think we all know I am more a Timberwolf pilot.

I am very eager stil for my mk.ii but to be honest I am more interested in just seeing how Alex will draw it up more so then when they plan to release it. But sadly these are tied together :/ Russ once again said he isn't ready and probably won't for awhile, though if they can do 2 mechs a month once in awbule, maybe a year to 18 months? It's cool not wanting the mech in game right now just grrrr! How long did you guys have to wait for your Marauder? I don't think I can wait that long I gotta have something to chew on o.O

Well my point is, this is what we get when people stop advancement when it's needed. Now sales will tank, so if that was your goal, congratulations you succeeded.

Steam retention ended up low, I assume no PVE (safe place to learn and play) remember these were people who had no attachment to BT, therefore they needed extra care in providing interest and a place to learn, PVP can't offer that.

Actually the Viper had lots of fans but in the polls I saw it was losing to the Blanner but it was in 2nd place.

I agree the Viper is not the #1 mech in anybody's list, but it's an expected mech (being one of the 16 original Clan mechs).

About PVE, yes, I agree it is very important for people to 1) learn how to play; 2) play casually; 3) learn about the lore. Vote for Odanan as one of PGI's game designer and I promise I will work on that 80 hours a week.

It was a close second in the English poll (but really lost in the German poll).
In the original Twitter post, it was the most voted medium (12 votes, while Black Lanner had 9) last time I checked.

If the next standalone mech is a Clanner, I believe it will be the Fire Moth!

(that would make the Clan Wave 4 all Jade Falcon mechs)

The sales wil be the tale, a big gripe I have here in these forums is too many people talk about what mech should be in the game based off the crappy "TT balance guideline called timeline" when the focus is getting people to buy the mechs not wait for the c-Bill version, money keeps the light on the timeline just drains it.

Russ said he want this game to be around in 7 years (sure we want that too!) and didn't want to "burn" some mechs by releasing them already. It makes sense. Each mech release must be more attractive to keep the people buying. If they add all the "best" MW4 mechs now, what will be left to release in 4, 5, 6 years?

Have you considered that the more propaganda you do for the Mad Cat MK II, the more it could be delayed?
