I thought that was the Flea.

In the land of Canada, in the fog of Vancouver, the Dark Lord Russ forged in secret, a master mech, to control all others. And into this mech he poured all his cruelty, his malice and his will to tease us for 3 years.

I believe they intended to release the Flea until the first Unseen pack (Project Phoenix) go the green light. After the Locust (which even look similar), the priority for the Flea drop to 0.

Right.... not like mechs already in game don't share art assets or anything....

Viper and Nova share legs
Timber Wolf and Mad Dog share legs
Hellbringer and Summoner share legs
Warhawk and Dire Wolf share legs
Arctic Cheetah and Mist Lynx share legs
Timber Wolf, Hellbringer and Summoner share arms

How can you stay true to omni design without reusing assets?? Isn't that the whole point? O.o

It actually makes a lot of sense, it reduces supply lines, makes maintenance faster and easier, you can cannibalize damaged units to fix more units, it is a very efficient way to do things for military equipment.

Let's not forget the Executioner and the Gargoyle, who share the legs and one arm.

The Mist Lynx share legs with the (unreleased) Fire Moth, not with the Arctic Cheetah.

I know in TT they do, but I was looking at the MWO models, barring the keen caps on the Mist Lynx they legs and feet look a lot like the ones on the Cheetah....

Exactly!

Why ship a dozen different replacement legs when you can ship a dozen of the same leg?

I still have no idea why the military hasn't developed an omni connector for engine swaps. A dozen bolts, one big plug that contains all your electrical and fuel delivery (obviously isolating those two specifically to opposite ends of the plug and remember liquid fuel isn't nearly as flammable as gas fuel) so it takes ONE guy all of 30 minutes to swap an engine.

Trust me, I'm an engineer! (no really, I am!)

It's already in the game as the ZEU-6S®. Take a closer look at the shoulders.

That reminds me.

Can we revive the MC custom geometry discussion?
Cause there are soooo many things they could be selling to us right now!

I'd use two colour coded plugs, with opposite connection capabilities, Red for power and green for fuel, just to truly make it idiot proof... never know when some 80 IQ riflemen is going to be the one doing the work....

as long as it's not tied to the "S" Models. I'm still pushing to get them to change the Collectors pack to a medallion, which wouldn't work with the old custom geos.

80 IQ rifleman? I'd be more worried about that IVY League ROTC Officer who never screwed in his own light bulb before...... (your average shade tree mechanic is seldom Einstein....)

The end goal of every engineer should be to make it idiot proof....

Hey now, I was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain (O-3).... Granted I wasn't Ivy league, and I have very much screwed in my own light bulbs... but still I've seen riflemen look down the barrels of their own weapons while the mag was still in....

Then again, I'm Canadian by birth, so I guess I'm exempt from idiot US officers.... Granted I served in the US Army, and I was quicker on the uptake than some of my peers...

Well, you're probably more prone to apologize to the Jihadis after you lob a hellfire at them, anyhow. Posted Image

Besides..... with you... wouldn't it be looking down the barrel of your 30mm chaingun?
