How long is from the time one pre sales ends before another is announced? To tell you the truth I haven't paid attention in the past.

When the Early Adopters rewards end, in a few days the next mech is announced. They are usually separated by ~1 month.

But since the Phoenix pack, the pre-sales don't end anymore (look in the Store page).

Thank you Odanan. That confirms what I suspected. I have only recently started paying attention to such things.

It was pretty blunt sarcasm. 3025 has no clan 'mechs -- classic or otherwise. That's part of it's appeal to some of us. PGI making 5 clan 'mechs in a row suggests to me they're probably not excessively focused on milking the 3025 crowd before they go play HBS's game.

Yes, we have ~1 mech per month, but I don't know if it was that what he asked...

Hmmm, wondering what the next mech's gonna be.

This isn't: "OMWowzors I can haz mechpack nao!"

Just, I wonder what'what's coming down the line next.

If it's not an Unseen (WSP/STG/VLK, Crusader, Longbow), I'm calling Imp.

I've got no read on it if it's an Unseen. I'd like to see the lights, but while I could outhink it a bit to try and guess at PGI's decision, but I'm not gonna do it.

Hmmmmmmmm ...

Oh yeah, I'd totally forgotten. That was the Zeus/Cyclops/(apparently)Charger poll.

I'd been thinking that a Charger/Hatamoto-chi would be neat. Sort of Daboku/Mauler, but with more "flair."

I saw the Imp on Sarna today, and thought it seemed like a good fit for variants and tech availability.

I don't mind a bit more variety to the speculation at all ;)

The Imp is so obscure (and ugly) that I would prefer other assault mechs first, like the Charger, Longbow and Crockett.
For a later timeline, Nightstar, Pillager, Gunslinger and Fafnir.

Ugly, you say?

Alex has taken on that challenge repeatedly, and I like his work thus far. Even his "ugly" mechs are nice :D

Obscure? In lore, yes. A great many of this games player's aren't steeped enough in lore to know the difference. (I'll own that for myself, by the way)

Russ has said before that if they think it would add something cool to the game, they'll do it. The question morphs into what they think is cool enough to work on, and what it brings to the game. Often enough, it's "What can Alex do with it?" ;)

I know, Alex can do miracles. Even so, the Imp would be kind of boring (for gameplay).

FTFY

But in all seriousness, the Fafnir is the one mech I really don't want to see, doubly so if it comes with the (i)HGR's.... We think things are bad now, just wait till the IS can have (22) 25 damage PPFLD guns at close range, that still do 10 damage out to GR range, before dropping off to nothing at 1200m....

Well I do kind of have a soft spot for the Fafnir because it's one of the last & best mechs you get in MW4 mercs, fighting alongside Prince Peter & taking down Nondi Steiner.

However I recognize HGRs would be too much in this game. (Let's go Nightstar!)

Assuming the art is done for the Charger because it was in a poll (I remember seeing it %100) then that would make it a strong contender for the next mech.

This would please me. Not quite as much as an Assassin, but Charger and Crusader are choice 2a and 2b, for me.

Well.... The Thug would please my inner fanboi more, but I feel the Charger would be more a more viable, interesting and diverse translation into MWO. Where the Thug would be more about having it for HBS.

Those are all fine choices that I would be happy with, but I still want to see the Devastator at some point. Posted Image

Seems like an early, slow, IS Kodiak.

I'd be okay with that :D

The Devastator isn't that slow, it's just as fast as an Atlas, so could see 62.7km/h with a 360 series engine, same as an Atlas... Mind you, you couldn't cram in both Gauss Rifles, 2 PPC (likely changed out for LPL's knowing this community) and 4 MLas with a 360 standard.... I mean you do only get 36t for weapons an equipment using a 360 standard with Endo... But still not bad!
