Let's be clear I already know it's not the MK II so I don't even care what it is. People should keep their expectations low.

Prometeus (Direwolf hero mech) for IS?

Nah, I think it's an IS omni mech, or (hopefully) an IS mech with melee weapon (my money on Hatchetman).

They didn't.

We expected a 1:1 pattern, but the "never done before" thing makes it clear it will be an IS mech.

Unless it's a Clan omnimech with Std. Engine, which would be very disappointing!
(I'm sympathetic over the Kingfisher or the Lupus, but they would not be a reveal worth of the MechCon!)

The problem with IS Omni's is Gen-1 IS Omni's suck, with the exception of a couple that are decent and a few that might be okay, provided the are not boned due to art and hit boxes.

Generation 2 Omni's are better, but often have tech in them that are not in MWO, meaning that they would all have to be PGI variants.

Late Generation Omni's are well designed, but all use tech not in MWO, meaning that would all have to be PGI variants.

The Tomahawk does nothing the Dire Wolf doesn't. Heck, it might be even worst of the Dire Wolf...

And the Woodsman... well, it pays heavily for that Std. Engine (less weapons and much slower than the Timber Wolf).

Two mechs I hope will never be in a MechWarrior game.

None of those are MechCon worthy. Never done before does not make clear it's IS. Probably the first mech to have selectable custom non paintable geometry. That topic went super hush hush.

Well, since we are in the realm of far-fetched possibilities, it could be the Naga (with Arrow IV).
Sure, that would require: completely new weapon mechanic, potentially very OP and severe changes in the mechlab (a weapon fitting in 2 locations at the same time).

The Celestial omnimechs are from the later 3060's and have all sort of dumb high-tech weapons (most we will never see in this game). And they are not even that good...

There will be years and years before those will come to the game (if they ever come).

The irony with them is with our current Tech, they would actually be better... Like rather than a compact engine, the archangel could use a standard and save weight....

Well Dec is slated for Clan technically so what aside from the Naga & it's Arrow IVs could it be? Something weak like a std engine omni?

The first mech with custom cosmetic geometry would be mech con worthy I think.

Yup like I said think how russ announced the clan hero pack.

My bet is on custom geometry mech. If it sales well they may add this feature to other mechs. This is the kind of ransom advertising they are known for and I'm used to at this point.

Well CCG is a desired by many and had overwhelming support when it was being discussed.
