I posted all the relevant entries on the roadmap. Where in any of it does it say two in March, two in April?

Read the relevant statements, put them together, and use some logic from how PGI has announced mechs in the past.

When they were doing the Project Phoenix mech heroes, they TOLD US well in advance on the roadmaps "Next month expect to see two heroes for previously released Project Phoenix mechs." Then we got things like the "Top Dog" and "Quarantine" pair or the "Pirate's Bane" and the "Gray Death" pair.

This time, the announcements of upcoming mech releases (since they're putting this announcement next to NEW mechs coming out) clearly state UNANNOUNCED mechs. That means new chassis . . . new mechs that we don't have yet. These same statements on the roadmap clearly state IS mechs in March and Clan mechs in April. Then they go on to clearly state that the new mechs will be announced with TWO Inner Sphere and TWO Clan mechs in the next section.

So no, it's not all prettily put together in one sentence. However, the information is right there and it's very clearly put given the way that PGI disseminates information.

Regardless, I'll say again, since you're so dead-set that you're right, then by all means ask Russ on twitter. While I doubt he's going to tell you exactly what chassis are coming, I'm sure he'd be happy to clear up expectations by telling you when and how many new mechs are getting released, considering how the roadmap is clearly written.

What I'm seeing right now are people who have gotten their hopes up and don't want to see those hopes dashed.

In other words, you are making a connection not actually implicitly there, despite spending most of this page, stating to look, because it is implicitly there. I am actually quite capable of making both deductive and intuitive conclusions, and no, the given evidence does not implicitly support your theory. And that is all it is. Could you be correct? Yes, in which case, good on you. But you are acting as if it were written in stone by the finger of God, and it quite simply, is not.

*shrugs* Sorry dude, but last time I saw this story play out, involved Imperius and all the ideas he convinced himself to believe were true, despite no actual solid data to back it. And then of course, came his inability to accept it even AFTER the fact, leading to all the Impy Rage. I do hope this ends better.

But at this time, it's pretty obvious there is nothing to be gained by continuing this train of thought, so instead of derailing this thread further, perhaps we can simply drop it, and see what plays out the next two months. Then, if you are correct, you can enjoy all the "I told You So"s you desire.

Road map has it....
- IS hero mechs announced in Feb (assuming) implemented in March. These are Heros for Resistance wave 1 & 2 mechs
- New mechs announced with new toys, early March. These being 2 for each faction, states it clearly.
- Clan hero mechs announced in March implemented in April, these being for wave 2 & 3 mechs.

- Summer, new mechs that were the March preorder and all new toys added to MWO.

Very plain to see in the road map for how mechs will be coming.

I'm just very interested to see what they are going to do for mech packs, and what mechs they are going to pick to show case new tech... There is a very, very broad range to pick from IS side, things that range from hot garbage to hot and sexy... Clan side, it's a bit less of a gap, but that is the nature of clan tech, even their worst mechs are better than IS average mechs.

Yea, *looks at Supernova and Highlander IIC* even if. Bottom of the barrel for clan usually do alright as long as they have hard points to fill up. I am happy to see the SNV performing around the middle of the pack. Even my modified stock build (went to XL and stuff full of heat sinks) performs pretty well. (Fire one arm on 3 and the other on chain gives good results, same I do for my KDK-1 stock build....hey gotta be hot if you are a Ghost bear, heat efficiency is all about your trigger not about your mech :P)

Numbers, are semi clear (how many Heroes each pack? All the Resistance? All the Wave 2 and or 3 Clammers?)

the actual distribution and such of the 4 New Mechs, slightly less clear, and specific details of new sales model, lacking at all. For instance, if all 4 New Designs are intro'd together.... they won´t be packaging clan tech and IS mechs together, surely?

And it's not stated that they will be doled out, 2x2, with corresponding Heroes (though it would be a logical way to do so).

So, what is there is clear... but there is plenty that is left unsaid.

Way I read it is like this.

- Resistance wave 1 & 2 Heros (8 heros, just like how Clan wave 1 was)
- Invasion wave 2 & 3 Heros (see above)
- 4 new mechs , 2 IS and 2 Clan sold as single packs but all 4 drop in March.

Just my guess.

yes, but a guess, nonetheless. That is the important distinction.

I'm looking forward to March mechness. Even if my favorite isn't one of the mechs it looks to be a good opportunity.

Ugh... For IS Side of things, I'd rather see:

The Gauntlet (Omni-Bushwaker with only the Thunderbolt/10 and TSEMP being outside of 3068-ish tech)
The Nightstar/Devastator/Gunslinger/Cerberus

Yeah it's just the recent trend is the Clans get good/strong mechs and the IS gets nostalgia boats.

And then the vast majority of IS pilots complain that we get hot garbage mechs.... At least I knew full well that I was going to get something less the stellar when I asked for the Phoenix Hawk and the Bushwacker....

Well, there's the "Big batch of old mechs needing heroes" announcement. Still in February, too. I wonder if any of these will be getting unique geometry? Otherwise the Resistance (S) Wolfhound will look more like Grinner than, well, Grinner.

Regardless . . . it's . . . interesting. Certainly looking like we're going to see heroes for two new and unannounced IS chassis for March. So far it's matching up with the Roadmap announcements. Even the "no NEW mech announcement in February". It's kind of like what they did for the "Something we've never done before in a mech," and then we got the Roughneck.

Appears several are. The Urbanmech, the Zeus (with the indented details on the armor), and the Panther (with the special studded plating).

Has anyone else notice the affiliations listed for each for of the hero mechs? Is anyone thinking that they may be looking to consider faction specific mechs and this is a clue?!

I like that the K-9 is apparently piloted by the Man with No Name.....
