I like the 3D-model. Even though I certainly would have preferred other Mechs, I can't be mad at it. It is quite important for the era, being on the RATs of Jade Falcons, Ice Hellions, and Steel Vipers. Also I like the idea of a ridiculously large engine. But make no mistake: it is ridiculously large, even for a cavalry fan.

I guess it will get some nice weapon quirks to compensate for the limited podspace. At least that would be fair. On the other hand, the evil in me wants to see zero quirks to remind people not to buy Mechs for quirks.

And I hope people don't start complaining about obvious weaknesses like the limited podspace. You should enjoy the Mech you ordered: an overengined, undergunned cool looking Mech; a light Mech with the armour and the size of a 55t Mech.

PS: I am quite sure I could make it work, and I'd probably even have fun with it, but I cannot bring myself to pay real money for it.

Whelp, just when balance appeared as though it couldn't get any worse, PGI decides to release a mech that is better than the best mech in the game (Mad Cat Mk II).

Not so sure about that, those high mounts are going to be exposed before it can fire.

Cockpit hitboxes are not the whole glass panels, but clan mechs tend to have bigger cockpit hitboxes in general.

Dunno why, but the proportions of the mech look somewhat iffy... The cockpit-nose seems a little small, while the arms look ginormous... also the legs seem to be a little too long, but PGI likes dem legs lately...

The Lanner I'm a little disappointed how it turned out... they gave it a Nova cockpit, ST of the Linebacker and a Stormcrow LA.

I may be wrong, but I distinctly remember the Blood Asp having a bird-like face......

Even if they were cockpit height, the cockpit is significantly higher than on the Mad Cat Mk II.

Everyone should vote or re-vote. New mechs have been added and all announced mechs have been removed.

Doesn't matter if you lose an ST before you clear that hill to shoot....

While I did update my votes (I don't think they really changed, but did it just to be sure) that poll honestly gets under my skin a bit due to the lack of links/information that people honestly need; and there's a lot of solid mechs that are missing. I asked about getting the Clint/Clint IIC added, but later realized that the Thug, Commando IIC, and others were missing, too.

Mechs were added as they were requested and there is limited space sadly.

I'd actually be hesitant to throw a gauss in those side torsos. Aside from the case of stormcrow syndrome, it won't be able to shield those ST whatsoever, and they make enticing targets. Stuffing a weapon that can self destruct the moment the armor is breached, taking much of the side torso out with it, in said exposed mount might not be the most ... sane thing to do.

To shake things up a bit, let's do a game. Each member tells one, and only one, missing mech they want to be included in MWO.

Let me start: (oh, this is harder than I thought)

Dear, PGI, the only mech I ask you to include in this game is the Wasp.

Only one?

Humm, tough choice, as there are so many worthy inclusions....

But I think I'll go with this:

Crusader

It is the 65t the IS deserve, with so many variants, it's got something for everyone.

Oh, man, the Nexus...I loved Loose's artwork for that in the 3050 TRO so much that I actually bought the mini a couple of decades ago. Pretty decent firepower for a 25 tonner, too. I have no illusions that it would be even passable in MWO, but ah the memories.

Speaking of 'mech artwork that captured the imagination...what about the Raijin? Loved that one, too. It basically has little turrets for arms. Likely would have the same problems as that...other medium with the missile hardpoint over its head whose name I forgot. Terribad hitboxes.
