Only thing that disturbes the image are the uber-big 9mm shells taken as Autocannon shells.... take a closer look

No it don't.
List what you put in your 300 and I'll tell you I can (probably) fit in with my Standard 350.
What're you doing? Some LPL, quad PPC shenanigans that the Atlas has no right doing since it's a terrible direct fire-support Mech?
Seeing as you can't add the weapons load out I run with my Atlas that has a 300 Standard with a 350 without going over 11 tons of equipment and a ton or so of armor, I'm not convinced that running anything less then a 350 is bad. An Atlas with 350 might be faster then my machine and stuff more heat sinks in the engine, but you give up tonnage that is usable elsewhere.
350 isn't end all better, it just makes a faster assault that has to sacrifice something for speed. I'd use a 300 or a 350 (though I tend to go 325-330,) just with different builds that have different design goals. They all have their use, and it generally depends on group size and game mode.

What is it that you use? Seriously, why is everyone being so defensive and refusing to tell me what they use?

The one of the cheapest variants (which is the Prime ironically), is 36,716,710 CBills.
Also - this is assuming you can buy them with CBills and not some new currency that PGI develops.
Honestly, at this point I wouldn't bet on being able to buy them with CBills. It's just too easy. And I say this as a guy who already has more than the target amount of CBills you want.

A Daishi costs about 30 million c-bills in the TT (but no one would sell it).
Dang, I was ninjaed by Norris.

Example base variant I use:
AS7-D(F) Atlas
300 Standard Engine
27 Standard Heat Sinks
AC/20 (4 Tons of ammo)
2x SRM6 (2 Tons of ammo
4x Medium Lasers
C.A.S.E protects the AC/20 and SRM6 + Ammo for both.
544/614 Armor (Armor reduced in legs as you never generally ever see a legged Atlas. I mean really....the damn thing has enough max leg armor to out armor a freaking medium mech CT.)
You can make a 350 Engine Atlas variant to give me and that's all fine well and dandy, have a few myself, but they don't outclass ones that don't use a 350 in every situation. 350 is incredibly useful, but so are smaller engine sizes for various reasons.
About Clan 'mechs costing so much....that's fine. It's not hard farming C-bills unless you like the pain of pugging. Even before taking Rearm and Refit out it's not hard to get enough C-bills to buy whatever you want and tweak it however you want after a few nights or less of playing.

You can do that build, but even better with DHS, Endo, and a 350.
