The only MW game I've played before is MW2, so seeing all the ones I love in the list of clan mechs is really making my day. Nova was always my favorite, but I've been wanting to play Dire Wolf, Timberwolf, and Mad Dog for a while.

Any chance of Stone Rhino?

Dunno if you would want to play the Stone Rhino. Just look at its sheer size. The Awesome may be a walking barn side, but the Stone Rhino is as wide as it is thick.

It is generally thought to be unlikely, for now - the Stone Rhino is one of "the Unseen", 'Mechs whose artistic depictions were heavily derived (or, in some cases, outright copied) from artwork found in a number of Japanese products, or that were produced for BattleTech by third parties.

Specifically, the Stone Rhino design was created by a company called Victor Musical Industries (now Victor Entertainment) rather than by FASA itself, so it was considered lost after the debacle with Harmony Gold and Playmates.

There was a new visual design (generally dubbed "the Reseen") released for the Stone Rhino some years ago (with the second variant being shown below, courtesy of CamoSpecs user "Dave Fanjoy"):


And the third variant (courtesy of CamoSpecs user "Psycho"):


However, it seems that PGI has opted to sidestep these "Unseen" 'Mechs entirely (at least for the moment).

Has anyone heard any relatively recent comments from PGI about the unseen? I think they'll throw a curve ball and give the community a redesigned Warhammer. Just release this unseen 'Mech and then wait a while on the others to get them to where the community will enjoy it AND harmony gold will approve the designs.

Think about this as well, the first video from Piranha featured a War hammer and they then released a statement saying the delay wasn't due to any legal actions. What if the delay was them redesigning the unseen to be new reseen?

I'm good with this... I mean, who plays Robotech anymore anyways?? If anything they should be BEGGING us to use their designs for more exposure. Put it back in people's heads and renew interest.......

That film was first mentioned 5 and a half years ago. They are still trying to write a script. Dont expect that film in the near and distant future.

See now that's the positive attitude that will keep me hoping ill see an archer or a warhammer in thisgame yet!
