Every thing else is either redundant or just not as cool and sexy.

Either of these two would make me happy. The victor could potentially be nice too if they include one with some ballistics options.
Does anyone seriously want a banshee? The thing just looks like a pile of junk to me. It just doesn't seem like there would be any reason to use one over an atlas, and they're both humanoid (boring).
Can someone who's a bigger battletech nerd answer whether the Devastator actually has 3 variants in 3050? I see 3 on the sarna page that use the gear we currently have, but I can't tell from there when they were available.

Victor: Not bringing much of anything new to the table compared to the Highlander
Zeus: Aside from the ballistic left arm in some variants, too close to the Awesome (plus missles in arm = yuck)
Banshee: Weak stock variants but wide potential with hardpoint count, not too wild about another humaniod mech but hey
King Crab: Very unique stance, AC20 in arms is possible considering what was done with the Highlander 733C, and has three variants available
Edit: King Crab actually has four available, think it's safe to say the "Clanbuster" will be among them seeing how far we are into the Invasion heh

I would even pilot the "weak" 3E variant!

I have to agree! Most of the common drawings are really ugly, but i'm sure a well redesigned Banshee by FD could be the best of all those announced IS mechs.

There isn't going to be just one more assault. There will be a mech released every month as long as the game is around. Still plenty of room for more assaults.

I asked him if PGI was any closer to the goal they stated a while back of putting in two mechs per month, and he answered "Should happen this fall."
Lets say they do one a month until the end of the year (roughly the end of fall) That will make 8 more mechs by the end of the year. If you look at all the mechs that meet the following criteria:
1. Three Variants.
2. Available in the time line (even if all but extinct).
3. Are not unseen.
Then there are approx. 82 Chassis they have left after the end of the year through 3055. If they release 2 a month after that point they will run out in 41 months (3.41 years), and probably sooner since not all of those will be available during that 3.41 year period. So at some point they are going to have to relax one of those items, or start making their own variant for chassis with only one or two variants.

You forget there are many Clan mechs (omni and not omni) to fill in.
