^ I think jumping missile would add more variety than articulated energy jumper since the Jenner is still best in class.

The Firestarter is specialized since it is built around Flamers (fun trollbot for a while), but would eventually end up being a laser boat (we already have the Jenner). Ostscout unseen, enough said. The Javelin is a good candidate (my pick) because its an all-missile light 'Mech, which might be considered controversial. This 'Mech could be devastating while you consider hardpoint inflation. Thoughts?

What about Hermes? Its a really special scout Mech without jump jets....although the 170kph engine cap is a kind of hindrance. Because it is allready running 151 kph.

But its not controversial - but the Hussar is. but I'm not sure if it is 100% humanoid- legs and arms are the torso not.
Oh what about the Thorn? Slow as hell - lightly armed and armored the perfect background actor for killing szenes.

It's Humanoid, definitely Controversial, and definitely a Speciality 'Mech.

Urbie for sure, it's even been (roughly) designed already:

That said, whilst I can always hope, I can think of a few other candidates:

1) Firestarter. Humanoid.
Specialty: Anti-Infantry
Controversy: Flamers currently suck, no infantry.
Reason it won't be: Flamers suck.

2) Valkyrie
Specialty: Long Range Missiles, only 3050 Light Mech to do so stock.
Controversy: Harmony Gold Unseen
Reason it won't be: Not enough variants, HG

3) OstScout
Specialty: Recon, Electronic Warfare
Controversy: Makes the stock spider look over-armed, HG Unseen
Reason it won't be: Not enough variants, nothing new to game

so barring some obscure SLDF design, I would say the Urbie has a good a shot as any. IF they either have solved their engine issue, or just said "scrap it" and gave it a 120XL instead, lol.

Hussar has awful hardpoints, in the CT only (which avoids hardpoint inflation). It's like a Spider 5V without jump jets.

Urbie. I'm even working on a 3039 era Deputy Dawg 1.0, with a slightly new look and radically different armament.

Urbie is a lot more iconic, but I think the Firestarter ultimately has a lot more to offer in terms of gameplay (the Urbie would end up in the same bin as the Lolcust, or even worse). With 8 hardpoints, it might actually stand a chance at matching or possibly even surpassing the Jenner (if given good enough hitboxes).

No, it's not real, I made it up.

The reason is to alert PGI of how much money they can make.

And before the crowd start screaming "they are Macross Unseen!", the Reseen redesigns are being used by Catalyst without any problem, like this, in the very cover of a Technical Readout.

PGI gave new life to 6 otherwise lost mechs, burying the issues with Unseen/Reseen controversies for those mechs. It's time to continue to make history and do it for the Macross ones too.

Alex Iglesias proved he can shut up those old classic Unseen lovers with his talents. He even did some renditions of the Marauder (which personally I find closer to the official Reseen and better than the Shimmering Sword's). In Alex we trust.

So, PGI, this is the best advice I can do for you: "Make us happy and we will give you tons of money".

Sure, the Reseen Warhammer is ugly as hell, but it needs to be different from the original.
