Sure, the Reseen Warhammer is ugly as hell, but it needs to be different from the original.

The Machine Gun Array would still require several (2-4 MGs per array) individual MGs to be mounted as separate units, with the MGA system itself (which is really simply a module containing a set of control linkages that would connect each of the MGs to each other) and all of the individual MGs needing to be mounted in the same section.

"On all non-ProtoMech units, the Machine Gun Array may be used to link two, three or four Machine Guns of the same size class, but to do so, all of the linked MGs and the array module must be placed in the same location on the unit." - TechManual, pg. 228
Examples of this include the record sheets of the BMB-14K Bombardier, LCT-5T Locust, Dasher K, JVN-11F Javelin, and the Puma Combat Vehicle.

With the way weapon groups and group-fire currently work in MWO, MGAs would be largely redundant, serving to do little more than have the MGA modules consume weight and crits.

The reason is to alert PGI of how much money they can make.

And before the crowd start screaming "they are Macross Unseen!", the Reseen redesigns are being used by Catalyst without any problem, like this, in the very cover of a Technical Readout.

PGI gave new life to 6 otherwise lost mechs, burying the issues with Unseen/Reseen controversies for those mechs. It's time to continue to make history and do it for the Macross ones too.

Alex Iglesias proved he can shut up those old classic Unseen lovers with his talents. He even did some renditions of the Marauder (which personally I find closer to the official Reseen and better than the Shimmering Sword's). In Alex we trust.

So, PGI, this is the best advice I can do for you: "Make us happy and we will give you tons of money".

That marauder might make me even think about buying the locust for the only purpose to take it and the Warhammer along with it xD
