(and of course, the Macross Reseens)
Again, I don't care about whole new mechs designed by PGI because no matter what they invent, there is a canonical similar mech waiting to be added.

Could be interesting how PGI would develop a Mech from scratch - no lore mech - a complete new Mech
At first I was inclined to disagree - there are a lot of cool designs from 3025 era yet to be added, not to mention Omnis/II Cs/Later timelines, but actually - why not? One or two unique designs wouldn't be such a bad idea, especially when we consider quality of Alex's work so far.
As far as I remember, Uziel was designed specifically for MW4: Vengeance, and since then has been canonised and liked by a lot of people, and so was MW4 redesign of Hellhound, for all intents and purposes - different mech.

As long as they add these first:

Here's a thought, for fan goodwill.
Perhaps once a year, PGI could have a Design a Mech Contest. The finalist gets taken in and Alex-ized. I'm all for the canon mechs first, but also see the opportunity for more. But TBH, with some of the designs PGI has come up with on Heroes, pretty sure I don't want them to do the whole thing themselves.

judging by the whipping I'm getting in the MAD contest, doubt it would be my achievement. Would definitely have to limite people to one in game design per person, like ever, or we would just end up with Shimmering Sword or the like as a secondary MWO artist.

Having the chance to get taught by professional artitsts and see a personal creation coming to "life" (although digital) would be a great achievement. Maybe they'll open such a contest sooner or later

Tell that to Chris Roberts...Star Citizen is using cryengine also...
And when they actually deliver Star Citizen and not a bunch of hype we will see if they could pull it off without a bunch of {Scrap} going wrong. If they can pull it off and Chris Roberts can live up to everyones expectations then good for them and I will eat my words but until then I am not holding my breath expecting some miracle game, with all these promises being made, to come true anytime soon.

Read about it somewhere few years ago. I couldn't find exact source, but Uziel first apperance in TT is (as far as I know) in TRO 3067 published in 2003, while MW4 was released in 2000.

The Deimos also started as a MW4 'Mech (specifically, it was introduced during the time of MekTek and the MekPaks), and was later canonized by CGL roundabout 2010.

Hmmmmm... (thinking if it would be a good idea to PGI to add an all new mech)... hmm.... No, give me my Banshee and Firestarter first! (they were never in a MW game)

Remind that you're forced to buy also the useless Locust to get that, so it's 20$ moar. 50$ isn't cheap, getting a MAD and a warhammer could be the only option that PGI has to make me take a locust (and throw it away as soon as it's in my hangar
