Heres all the clues I got: Not Unseen, from vid ask the devs. Its a light humanoid specialty mech, from Bryan not the flea. Its unannounced Hero first new chasis from Russ.
Bryan thinks controversial , Russ doesn't think so.

We got:
2 - 35 tonners
1 - 30 ton
1 - 25 ton
1 - 20 ton


Good chance you start too fill out the other weight classes.

30 ton, Urbanmech, Javelin.

I love Urbie, It was prob very common grunt mech. Plus you can use it again for clanner lights.

Jav is possible but that would bump heads with oxide.

35, ton Firestarter I'd be for it if it had "FLAMER" hardpoints. I'd hate to just see another medium laser stacked light.

25 ton, Jackrabbit, mongoose

20 Ton, FIREMOTH , Hornet

They shove a Firemoth.......like some clan surprise attack :) Hornet looks like urbie's little brother.

OK, let's think.

We have:

Light class: 5 already in the game + 1 (Flea) unreleased = 6;
Medium class: 7 already in the game + 2 (Wolverine and Griffin) = 9;
Heavy class: 7
Assault class: 5 already in the game + 1 (Battlemaster) = 6.

To even the classes we would need 8 mechs. With 4... I don't know what they will do.

Two of the 4 I'm pretty sure, the Firestarter (light) and the Banshee (assault), but the others could be any of those:
- Cyclops or Zeus (assault);
- Lancelot (heavy);
- Flea (light) - finally making to the game;
- UrbanMech or Javelin or Mongoose (light);
- one more medium?

I thought even more important was the commentary about fixing the OXIDE. Too many of the Heroes are simply inferior to the rest of the Chassis variants. That Russ is looking to "fix" the Oxide to make it more competitive, sets a possibly great precedent, in which they may look at other underperformers, like the Pretty Baby and tweak them to make them more desirable. Russ said we should toss up a poll for it, so I did thus, here:

I'm thinking you can kiss evening out the weight classes goodbye. They broke their release pattern pretty much irrevocably with the Phoenix Packages. And while I know you disagree, I think that is OK.

Does having more Mediums ensure more people play them? Yes and know. Whenever you step away from the Meta crowd, the more options, the more likely, as long as relatively competitive, you will almost always see more. Human nature is to try out new stuff. I don't think it's the ideal way to encourage it, but it certainly doesn't hurt. But we've had this discussion before, and whilst fun, I think rampant, blind speculation on what's next is more so.

And out of all the remaining Lights, the Firestarter has the most potential as a viable combat light, (6 energy, 2 ballistics, good armor, speed and JJs). That said, while I love the Urbie, it's gonna be a niche mech, for nuts like me and Utilyan. Javelin brings nothing new to the table.

as an alternative, as much as I love the Mongoose from TT, it's more of the same as the LCT-3M essentially. But the one I would like, would be the HUSSAR.

2) would be fastest mech in game (if the cryengine could handle it)
3) Would love to see Alex's take

cons of course are stock, it is naked, and well, they need serious hardpoint expansion.

oh my. Not to toot my own horn (much) but I think I just came up with a KILLER take on the HUSSAR. rough pencils done, need to ink it, but should have it up today.

agreed, but that is what the wonders of hardpoint propagation is for. Though the Spider never really benefitted (which I would feel bad about if they weren't the steed of choice for the Cheeze Army). That said, the 350D has some interesting potential (well for a laser boat), and if ever there was a mech that they broke the Royals Brigade glass ceiling on, the Hussar would be it.

After an Urbanmech, The kind of light want to see is humanoid 20 tonner(or smaller).

Stingers and Wasp might not happen since video said they not touching unseens for while.

The idea of a humanoid smaller then a commando has to be cool, closest to elemental. heres one IS and in timeline. vs. Clan combat lore, This is called a Thorn.

yeah, though the scale on the Commando and Spider are already ridiculously broken. Any smaller in the current scale and the pilot will have to ride OUTSIDE his mech.

Wolf Dragons is not a faction. :)

EDIT: besides, you could count in your fingers how many Annihilators exist in the current timeline. Also, we discussed a lot about this mech. In my opinion it's not impossible, but very unlickely to show up any time soon.

I like yours better too but I think we don't have a 100 ton ballistic mech for a reason but it does count as a Non-Omnimech.
