i hope so. Though they their excuse for the clan pack being more expensive was that the clan mechs costed more CBills

Well, I guess that Clan mechs will be around 50% more expensive than corresponding (by weight/price) IS mechs. Any less than that - the excuse of Clan packs being 50% pricier goes out of the window. Any more (2x, for example) will cause enormous (and frankly, justified) P2W uproar.

They will probably use the canon price - I would in their shoes.

I don't really think that would be viable - DIre Wolf, at 30 million C-bills, would be practically inaccessible for significant portion of of the playerbase, not to mention how grindy would be mastering it under current 3-variant rule.

Until CW hits, a lot of people get their "deeper" (non-actual gameplay) sense of achievement from collecting mechs, so making related goal too hard to achieve would put off a lot of players, not to mention incredibly bad press (P2W!) that'll follow.

I don't think they will either. They base their entire MC price model and CBill per match based on the price point of Inner sphere mechs.

But who knows, more expensive mechs mean more money for them. Though probably less in the long run if its too unreasonable and they lose players/get bored from grinding.

That's exactly the case here. Grind like that (~90 mil C-Bills for three Dire Wolves needed to master the chassis) is what, 100-120 hours of gameplay?

Unless CW gets here beforehands, and give people some reason to play besides collecting mechs, those people will just pack and leave. To have fun grinding you need reasonable perspective that it'll be worth your time in the end. No single asset in the game is worth 100-120 hours of gameplay, at least for majority of players.

I've heard rumours that in the near future you're going to be able to buy c-bills for MC. I'm not a big fan, but it might appeal to some...then again, if you want to drop MC on mechs, why not just buy the mech for MC to begin with? Given the limitations they're putting in, not much need to drop c-bills on bigger XL-Engines, DHS or Endo-Steel.

Ain't the mechs you would be buying with cbills.

Some folks don't want to grind for upgrading to DHS, Endosteel, buying that honking new XL engine, etc.

I will say there is a Thunderbolt variant as well that isnt released tomorrow but we have something real special planned for that very soon.

Sounds like we might get a new challenge for easter, like the one for the Centurion Champion.

Confirmed in the patch notes. CB for MC bundles.

The original reason (or timeframe) for when the forum got changed in the first place was when the 3PV was getting put into the game and there was a massive threadnaught of outcry against PGI. The revisioned forum allowed 'hot button topics' to get shunted to other less trafficked subforums to prevent that from happening and let the discussion die.

After all, how often did you browse suggestions, future features or the like compared to Gameplay and Mechs And Loadouts?

Actually, I often opened all four at once and read through the first page or two of each... :) :P

So far, all the mechs have been pretty close to the TT prices (+/-10%).
Everyone I checked, was close.

MEANING:
Est C-Bill costs for Primes (prices will likely be within +/-10%):
Kit Fox (Uller) - 30T - 5.4 million C-Bills.
Adder (Puma) - 35T - 7 million C-Bills.

Nova (Black Hawk) - 50T - 11.5 million C-Bills.
Stormcrow (Ryoken) - 55T - 14.8 million C-Bills.

Summoner (Thor) - 70T - 21.3 million C-Bills.
Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) - 75T - 24.2 million C-Bills.

Warhawk (Masakari) - 85T - 26.4 million C-Bills.
Dire Wolf (Daishi) - 100T - 29.4 million C-Bills.

Looks to be 2-3 times the cost of the equivalent IS mech in the weight range, paying Heavy prices for Lights, and Assault prices for Mediums.

I'm not sure what most peoples average C-Bills per match are (sure it's better than mine though), but for me, it'd take about 30-40 hours of play to get a Dire Wolf.
So 90-120 for all 3.

In some ways, this is good, as it means you have to work to get it, limiting the impact of Clan Mechs.
Though some people will likely just pay for it instead.

In others it's bad as it limits who can get it.
That said, Clan Mechs were almost always the better 'late game' mechs.

Personally, I'm just glad I only want the Lights, maybe the mediums, and probably a Timber Wolf (eventually),

I've been eyeballing some of the Clan mechs for a little while. Might pick up an Uller and take it for a spin.

Still want my Mad Dog :/

Supposedly the Mad dog shares the same legs as the timberwolf. like how the kit fox and the puma have the same legs. And the summoner and hellbringer.

Though there is a 15 ton difference between TW and MD. If they use the same legs, it might mean the Mad dog will get a hitbox of a 75 ton mech.

Hopefully they model mad dog's legs from scratch. (we might get lucky and get slimmer legs if that were the case)
