hey guys! I just had a suggestion for some new mechs: the crab, a medium mech with assorted energy weapons, the champion (pretty self explanatory), and the hermes a light nimble mech with small energy weapons. I could name countless more but I bet I would bore you so I have just named three. I like your suggestion for the urbanmech and the javelin.

in MW4 lots of peeps were clan mech fans, I mean my urban Daishi had about a 105 point alpha strike, it could knock down any mech off its feet the Atlas was especially funny to watch when it got knocked over. doubt will ever see anything like that in MWO, but it still should be fun maxing the loadouts on some of the mechs.

My Daishi in MW4 had 3 Gauss and 8 ER Medium Lasers. It was pretty brutal.

Anyone get to try the Clans yet? Been running my Timber Wolfs (my favorite being the S Config with 2 CERPPCs, 2 CSSRM6s, 1 CERSL, 2 tons ammo, 5 JJs, and 17 DHS [amazingly runs cool enough and the CERSL is an slightly sorter ranged IS ML]) and I can honestly say that I am never going back to IS mechs. Well for a bit anyways.... Makes me wish that I did not purchase the Phoenix mechs since the only one I use regularly is the Shadowhawk and instead bought more Clan mechs.

And what about the weapons' damage, range and heat? I'm really interested in the stats.

Well I copied and pasted the XML sheet before Niko took down the topic but since I want to avoid breaking the rules here here's a link to what Smurfy has for the public test server http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ats/public-test just look at the bottom for weapon stats. So far the staggering of Streaks does nothing to slow them even SRMs are fast. LRMs, the staggering looks really cool but AMS really chews through them. Hell the Kit Fox was just ignoring LRM salvos with tripple AMS. We get half tons of ammo for the Clans (never checked for IS mechs). CDHS work just like the IS ones. CERPPCs are really fun with new sounds, look, and seems faster than the IS ones. Nice new colors for weapons. UACs are brutal even a single UAC 5; they may spread damage but the cockpit shakes constantly. Considering how many hits I took and not a single hit to the cockpit tells me that the Timber Wolf has great hitpoints and can take a beating. Laser take a lot more skill to use. The Dire Wolf is not as scary as in TT. Went head to head with one on Terra Therma, it had 8-9 CLPLs, it then overheated and let me get 2-3 shots in with my CERPPCs and CERSL then I jumped off of the center platform and went off to help out my team elsewhere. Not sure if I took any damage from it but I do know that the Kit Fox hurt me more.

Sorry for the wall of text but that is what I saw in my few matches with my Timber Wolf.

About every 2-3 matches I had a 100+ match with my LRM50 Timber Wolf. Yes, lots of AMS will cut your effectiveness, but the LRMs are as effective, if not more, than the IS ones.

For the Dire Wolf, pilot skill matters much more than the mech, so don't discount it based on that one match. I think the Dire Wolf is going to obsolete the Banshee, just like it did the Atlas, as far as raw power. Just wish there was a missile version so I could pack some decent SRMs on it... (i.e. More than 6)

Yesterday was an amazing success, in my opinion. Tons of fun and sounds like a lot of people purchased.

I'm torn. Everything definitely looks good. I really like the weapon effects and sounds. Also the mechanics behind the ACs and missiles.

I'm just torn because I don't largely care for those chassis they used for this package. If I grabbed any it might be the Warhawk and Stormcrow. Just really would have liked the Mad Dog on this release. Too bad nearly all 4 initial clan heavy omnimechs are freaking beloved.

Long after the much rumored Com Warfare where they will be restricted to the clans unless they do some salvage system. We'll see what happens. I don't see it but the A La Carte pack doesn't come with paint or anything, just the chassis?

You are right. Any purchase gets you the social/monthly rewards.
