The Supernova doesn't even have the 3 minimum variants so it would probably wo't be in the game.
You can have similar builds though, like with the Awesome or Stalker.

But seriously, the Supernova is not a good mech. If you can't fire all the weapons in a range at the same time, the mech is badly designed (and there are lots of clan mechs with this issue).

ah i see, thx for the info, honestly i just loved the looks of it, and how much it could weild for singelplayer back in MW3, usualy picked madcat though, but im not the expert on the subject :S but again thx

Woot! We who called the BlackJack are very happy! :(

My future predictions:

#19: Orion - Like allot of others here, this Heavy just seems to fit the best and make the most sense.

#20: Banshee - Personally, I find the Assaults the hardest to guess, but the Banshee is the only 95 option - The Crockett is the only 85-ton option as well, assuming they went with something lighter and ignored the 3 possible 80-tonners that are also fan favourites.

#21: UrbanMech - I believe it was Garth (source?) that already stated that this mech was getting a treatment.
#22: Dervish
#23: Guillotine

All assuming that PGI continues to only announce IS Mechs for the next 5 months.

- I love the Hachetman and Axman, unfortunately variants don't start coming into production until the late 3050's. Though the day Melee combat is implemented into the game, I wouldn't be surprised they announced them.

Woot that two in a row for me! Go Banshee keep the streak alive! :D

wow that was very helpfull, greatly restores my faith in posting on forums again, thank you, very much!
im sad to hear that supernova wont be comming anytime soon, i have little lore knowledge of the game, i just played it and enjoyed the campaign, they mentioned none of this about this in MW3 hehe, not that i can recall, was a long time ago i played it. but had no idea it was a "clan mech" :( but its all good, i love the game as it is and its mechs, would like a offline game though, for those semi-afk days :3 but im spaming, thx again!

Actually, in MW3 and MW4 you could see any Inner Sphere goon piloting clan mechs. That's not true. These mechs are very advanced and the Clans are very jealous of them.

Good job! Let's hope the Banshee get in.

BTW, I think there won't be another round of IS mechs for now (but your next 4 guesses are pretty good anyway).

Ah, well, as i said i hardly remember, and i could pilot them as well as far as i can recall, so i figured there was no diffrence, didnt realy know "clan mechs" are unavailable, hence i dont realy know the lore that well  and im jealous i dont have one of em supernovas >:3 lol

Thanks, I really do hope for the Dervish. Like the Orion it's one of those mech that would always get mentioned in the early novels, like in the Grey Death Legion trilogy. Since the Unseen are mostly unlikely, the other commonly mentioned mechs of the era will be good to see.

You are probably right. (but I secretly expect for the Banshee - that would be a nice surprise)

Zeus is pretty much better.

I mean, we have enough "wanna-be" designs already.

What should the ratio of mechs be? Technically, there are supposed to be more mediums on the field than any other class. As part of the predicting process, has this been analyzed? Anyone have a guess as to what the ratios will be (assuming they are not all equal, which would be ok, just not with the lore).

Hmm.. Should be interesting to see how they implement omnimechs... Shouldn't we technically be able to make any of the configurations out of the same chassis?

Also, there are limitations in lore...

So... I wonder if PGI is going to follow that, as a balance for the fact they can mount any weapon anywhere... I'm thinking a limited amount of omni hardpoints, that you can put anything in... With only limits as to how many, to prevent boating. And hopefully they have a modular system for the mech models implemented by that time, so we can make frankenmechs out of our omnis.

How much you want to bet we are going to get the IIC versions of the Jenner, Hunchback, Orion, and Highlander... Of course those would still be Battlemechs, not omnimechs.

As for the whole 3 variants needed to "level" mechs... I'm thinking that might have to change... Hoping anyways.
It's kinda a very difficult question I think with the clan mechs. Their drawbacks are high price and high mainteinance cost. Since maintenance cost is removed after Dec 18, not sure how can you really balance that out.

Of course, it'll be a few years before we see any clan mechs... So enough time to figure out something.

There he is. Our Orion! And he looks great! ;)

What comes next? Light mech again?

Medium..maybe Kyudo, like it was written in the Orion announcement.
For my opinion, it is time for the Warhammer!

My guess for 5th assault?

Zeus (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Zeus)
Banshee (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Banshee)
Thug (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Thug)
Hatamoto-chi (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Hatamoto-Chi)

It will be any of those 4. My serious bets are Zeus and a Hatamoto-chi.

The next assault Mech should be definitely the Banshee. We need it to fill the lack on an 95 ton mech and we never see it in a Mechwarrior game before. The posted pic above shows how nice a redesigned Banshee could look. Hatamoto-Chi and Zeus? Then we have three 80 ton mechs. We've already three 50 ton mechs, so why not! It's possible. Both are iconic to their factions (Kurita & Steiner).

We still need a 55 ton mech in the medium class. Time to bring the Dervish or Kintaro to the scene. Both mechs fit perfectly to the current timeline and both mechs have enough variants.

The last annonced mechs were: Nr.16: Flea (light), Nr.17: Highlander (assault), Nr.18: Blackjack (medium) and Nr.19: Orion (heavy).

In my opinion BattleMech Nr. 20 should be a light mech, cause it's time.

I'm sure it will be the UrbanMech. The whole com wants it. The light class is my fav. weightclass, but the Urbie is a mech i would never pilot. Ultra slow and fugly as hell. Can't understand the hype about it. Better candidates would be mechs like Firestarter, Wolfhound or Panther. The first is my fav. Fast, has jumpjets, lots of different variants. If you don't like the Flamers, than change them to four Small Lasers. 6 energy and 2 ballistic hardpoints sounds really good to me.

This beautiful redesign by FD shows, how nice the Firestarter could look.
Your thoughts?

In the lore there are as many Assault mechs as Light mechs designs, for instance. I find the same number of Light/Medium/Heavy/Assault mechs very elegant.

So far this game is not a simulation of Battletech "real" battles, which involve much more than a bunch of mechs in the field. It's just 8 vs. 8 combat - it doesn't matter the weight ratio of mechs.

In the upcoming Community Warfare though, things might be different. Maybe they will make Assault mechs much harder (more "expensive") to deploy, so we will reach a more realist ratio in battles.

Remember that the Flea actually broke the release cycle. Which is Light > Medium > Heavy > Assault. So right now we have 5 lights, 5 mediums, 5 heavies and 4 assaults. So the next one should be an assault. However the devs have said we intend to keep adding mechs as time goes on. So while it may not be in now, it most likely will be in later.

Zeus, Banshee and Hatamoto = yes.

But Thug? First, it doesn't have the 3 minimum variants. Second, the few time-wise variants are very rare. Third, it is a downgraded Awesome, worst in every aspect (well, except for the looks).

Touche! You're right. I hold the flag for the Banshee!
Go, Banshee, gooooo! But the next light mech should be the Firestarter!
