Does that mean we shall see the mighty Annihilator?

Wow she looks nice....... *whistles*
After playing MW3 I never understood why everyone liked that mech since it was useless in it and the design team did not do the artwork justice.

Well thank you. That is one of my better re-designs, IMO. So I appreciate it.
IDK though, I ran ANH-1As a LOT in MWO (it and the Nova were my rides of choice). Max armor, 400XL and 4 ER PPC with oodles of heatsinks, on chainfire, I absolutely WRECKED anything I came across. And I thought the art was decent (better than the MW4 stuff, on the whole), but not great.

In MWO it will have speed cap of about 35 kph w/o tweak (220 max engine). But a minimum of 4 ballistic hardpoints (one per arm and one per side torso, so slots for big guns won't be a problem) and 4 beam hardpoints (2 in arms for bug hunting and 2 in CT for zombie staying power).

And then there is the Dragoon version with a 54 kph base...... of course it is all Clan Tech, so we will likely never see it......
Still 4 UAC5, 2 ER PPC and 2 Mediums (or an ER Large if one wants to use heavy E for sniping, ballistics for CQB) even in a slow mech, has gotta be kinda scary.........

also, it is x1.2 engine mod for Assaults, so a 240 max. (for what... 37 kph or some such, lol)

So, my predictions might be true:

BTW, that Annihilator is your masterpiece, Bishop.
Maybe we wont get the ultimate ballistic boat (quad gauss goodness), but I would be satisfied with the Victor VRT-9A1.

Well, it looks like the VTR-9A1 shall not grace MWO with its jump-capable triple-Gauss/triple-AC/20 doom-boating...

Incredibly expensive? The Executioner costs nearly 36,000,000 C-bills. That's expensive!

There is no salvage of Clan mechs at this point in time... not a single bit of it.
So price is kinda moot, considering they are definitely not buyable.

As far as I know it's one of PGI's concoctions (which means there isn't any lore or back story information).

Given the name and coloring, and as yet without the e-mail announcement that usually includes such information, I would guess that the DS might be supposed to be the 'Mech piloted by either Hans Vordel (from the bodyguard lance to the command lance from Wolf's Dragoons - who also fought in the Battle of Misery, after the Dragoons were betrayed by the Draconis Combine) or Arden Sortek (from the FedSuns, the current Prince's Champion, and arguably the most famous Victor pilot).

"thanksforbeinggoodsports"
and if using mozilla the page at name says "mechs_sorrycouldnothelpmyself.png"

That's because during the reveal when the picture did not show all of the mechs the URL the picture was hosted at was suggestively named with the day, if you tried simply changing the day in the URL to see the next day's mech revealed it was a picture of a trollface.
Ergo the final image URL's "thanksforbeinggoodsports" and "mechs_sorrycouldnothelpmyself.png" was a nod to those of us that tried to see the fully revealed picture before they wanted us to because we would notice the URLs, it was a good joke and those of us that noticed enjoyed it, didn't post it on (these) forums because I thought that would ruin it for anyone else that would find it themselves.
