Any evidence to suggest its a light next month?
Me thinks its a heavy...
Betting on a Grasshopper!!!
It's pretty much anybody's guess at this point.
Dev tweets have indicated that we're returning to the light -> medium -> heavy -> assault cycle, which, naturally, would start with a light 'mech. With the Banshee completing the tonnage roster, it's reasonable to assume that they might want to begin that cycle next month.
On the other hand, we're smack in the middle of a 4 'mech cycle, that's already had an assault and a light, which would indicate the next 2 are a medium and heavy, which would take us to June, and clans, which is another reasonable place to restart the cycle.
On the other-other hand, this 4 'mech cycle also includes the Sabre mediums, which may "count," indicating that it's time to start over at light again.
On the other-other-other hand, if Sabre mediums count, we're way overdue for a new heavy.
EVEN MORE HANDS: The Sabre releases for this month and last were likely planned to occur in April and May, taking us to June with the Banshee and Firestarter. They were moved up to February and March because they were promised then in the fine print of the Sabre package. This means the next 2 months probably didn't even have 'mech releases planned until a month or so ago, which further confuses the issue.
The real question here is: does PGI think it's important for the clan and IS releases to sync up? Does it matter to them that the cbill market gets (for example) an Uller and Panther at the same time? If so, they're going to want to start an IS cycle in June. If not, it's probably in their best interest to just move the schedule up and give us the originally planned June light in April.
