Yep, total Davion. Hopefully, it'll be one of the Variants released in the April 15th patch, this Tuesday.

Technically, total Steiner. -_- Davion has no facilities for constructing Atlases. The 7S is built on Hesperus II, by Defiance Industries. I'm sure you Daveys have coopted most of our shipments though.

That's OK, the BNC-5S is better anyhow. ^_^

For the AFFS with regard to Centurions & Victors, there is actually a very high chance that one probably would see significantly more of the former than the latter.

AFFS in 3050: ~77 'Mech regiments (down from ~87 in 3039)
AFFS 'Mech weight class distribution: 30% Light, 40% Medium, 20% Heavy, 10% Assault
(source: Faction Assignment & Rarity Tables, pg. 03)

We know that one regiment is 3-5 battalions & that one battalion is (usually) 36 'Mechs, so we can say that the AFFS had between 8316 and 13860 BattleMechs (not including allied mercenaries) in service as of 3050.

Well, was just using two (not-entirely) random examples...and Ah! So that's why the graph feels off. I'm not doubting your math, but it's those two additional facts (mostly the 2nd one about the 30/40/20/10 tonnage class distribution) that's missing. That sorta needs to be referenced or something (even if it's a "please see table 10-2" for those break downs). Without that, it seems that there's equal weighting to the classes since everything is noted as 1 in 1000 (ie 25/25/25/25). It's not 1 in 1000 mechs, it's 1 in 1000 assault mechs, etc.

Patch notes were already leaked on Reddit. We're getting two new Battlemasters, two new Locusts, two new Shadowhawks, and a new Thunderbolt.

They're basically just finishing the Phoenix pack.

It doesn't look much like the gorgeous concept art...

The arms are too tiny and the legs are huge, bulk and too square.

It is awful. I mean there is something wrong with the legs, compared to the upper body. The legs are just to big. Or the top is just to small.

Yup. Much better. I'm going to assume that the missing mechs per tonnage class are mechs not available in MWO.

As for the variants going to released next patch I'm a little sad that they're just more Phoenix mechs. I was kinda hoping that older mechs would have gotten new variants. I suppose that would require those chassis to have the dynamic hard point layout on them, which hasn't happened on many of them.

maybe its just the angle

Does anyone remember this cataphract screen shot? compared to how it looks in game.

or this jagermech angle (granted the jagermech's leg did come out massive though)

Indeed. Macross unseen have a great presence in the light and heavy classes.

Yes, it was disappointing...

The "deformed" 3rd screenshot, that Odanan omitted for that very reason, is why you have that perception. The legs, while you could make them smaller, are quite proportional to the mech when you aren't looking up the TWolf's skirt...

I'm... I dunno, both happy and irritated at the new mech variants.

I JUST bought my last locust, I'm well on my way to mastering them, and now there's 2 more variants that honestly... just seem better (especially how I run them) than the variants I have.

So I will likely end up either having to sell the existing ones, to buy the 'better' ones, or buy 2 more Mechbays for all 5.... (or ignore them and stick with what I have, even though the new ones are 'superior' to the ones I have).

Then if (hopefully) there's a Locust Hero, whatever that may be, I'll end up wanting (and likely getting) that too.
(Also, anyone have any ideas on what a Locust Hero would probably be?)

There aren't any listed on Sarna, at least, so I would assume that PGI would just make one up. I'm sure they can find someone listed as piloting one and make a story about it. (I just hope they actually make a story to go along with it, instead of naming it and calling it good)

It looks good to me!

But still thinking on whether to get this ala carte...

Lately, my interest in MWO is slightly on the wane...

She does!

But now I know what I don't like in the legs: the look from the sides of the upper leg. If only it was narrower and more elegant...
