When is the last time they leaked/included complete/almost complete non-playable game files for a chassis?

not willing to give them credit. Smurfy accesses source code for updates, someone probably didn't think about that from internal testing.

Yesterday was the latest but they did it a few times before.

I like the hardpoint spread, but the stock loadout is very underwhelming.

Hardpoints are great (damn near perfect) for it.

That's why I said chassis, rather than variant. When was the last time a completely new 'mech, not a variant, appeared in the game files ahead of the release rather than just being patched in on release?

I must have been mistaken but I could have sworn that they let a new mech leak a couple times in the game data. I was probably thinking about a new hero instead of a new mech.

I understand that, but it is the only way you will see those mechs any time soon. You can make an almost-Urbanmech with a Spider, actually. The video is around here somewhere...

The VND-1R, VND-1SIC, VND-1AA, VND-1X and VND-3L. Maybe not VND-1SIC, they might make St. Ives Blue as a hero mech.
