Just playing around with them angled. Might not be to good for MWO. It worked in MW4 cause they were thier own body part to be blown off not part of the torso.

Nice! Can you do a Royal Guards Archer? You know, Alex Carlyle's ride. Posted Image

I would actually not go for a metallic colour, but rather a heraldic kind gold. I actually chose my national flag's gold when I tried reinterpreting the Royal Guards' insignia (http://i.imgur.com/1UxSM0Y.png e.g.)

It does not load? Anyway, the (heraldic) gold colour is from this flag:
https://en.wikipedia...Flag_of_Germany

I think it works nice in combination with the blue, better than a metallic gold.

Hm, in this version the edges are still rough. I reworked that.

@ Bishop: Alexander Carlyle served with the 1st Royal Guards until 3065 when he was reassigned to the 2nd Royal Guards. Here are my takes on their insignia.

Of course you can use the canonic versions, too, if you dislike them. Posted Image
(They are not my best work anyway; and I think I may revise them).

Ok after a good 8+ hours on this today I know there are some details left out that I need to cover BUT I think I got a good almost finished product! Took some elements off the extincting TBR and TRO Mad Cat Mk.II combine with some MW4 influence....MY head and eyes hurt now though I didn't eat all day finishing this up O.o

Not bad CK, but I don't think the legs have the right amount of bulk for the frame. They are on a 90t mech, that is going to be able to run at 64km/h and jump upto 90m. That is a lot of weight in motion....

When I talk about bulk in the legs, it will have artificial muscles, skeletal frames, electric motors and joint systems. That's all required equipment in there under the armour.

I agree that the legs need to be larger, but CK did follow the general design of the existing MC MKII which has skinny legs :/. Just look at the MKII in MW4, they are thin like toothpicks and worse yet, bow legged like a crippled cowboy.

I hope that when the Mad Cat MKII is added to MWO, they make the legs look appropriate.

Yup I know...

The nice thing is, they could take the Timby's legs and up scale them by 20% to get them about right for a 90t Mech I think.

Admittedly, it took a little while for the MWOafied Timby to grow on me, but now that it has, I look at the TRO Timby's and feel like they are not right.

It is amazing!
I feel warm inside. For Blake, I think you are converting me to the Church of MKII!

I still prefer this version of the MWO Timberwolf:

I can do these changes lol. Also yea the legs I was playing with for now I went with the simple MW4/TRO legs they both are mounted outside the thigh instead of in line with the upper leg. I was considering doing up like you said the TBR's legs they would probably be the best idea. Though of Direwolf thighs but those just are so fat and no range of movement :/

I was wanting to allow this thing to have a decent stride. Something like this Posted Image. Not just looking like moving feet really fast to go fast you know a more running stride for a faster Assault. WE will see though.

I did those changes you suggested. Not a total fan of MWO TBR legs but they are the most logical

Well, on the topic of 3D models, i've made one myself too.
Posted Image
Few more pics in the respective thread.

It was quite fun to make it. Well, until i decided (and completely failed) to rig the model (for the purposes of posing). Might be because the model was made in Sketchup and then exported to Blender for rigging (I find Sketchup so much more comfortable and intuitive to use. I just can't wrap my head around Blender's UI). However, i might be just stupid.
