Looks like a Medusa! I'm curious about this one.

Unless that hero variant comes with 4 fewer jump jets, I'm still not interested. Way too much tonnage invested in those things. :\
Plus, I couldn't get Cicadas to click with me any time I tried them. A Clan Cicada without ECM is just asking for me to wind up in tears.....

I would appreciate the Grand Dragon as a variant in game. It is a fairly iconic Mech, and should be in MWO.
Actually I would like to see new variants of in-game chassis like the KGC-001 or the MAD-5S (yes, I know the config can be mimicked by the -3R; but the -5S could have a different hardpoint layout and quirks emphasizing its long range combat role). ... and, of course, my favourite: the ZEU-6Y. I want that blazer.

Dragon Fire (a personal favourite)

All are 75 tonners & would be good mechs in MWO.
The Dragonfire is a bit too late, but Penetrator would be quite useful, especially the Steiner variant with ECM, perhaps it might even look nice in MWO. Considering it's base variant is from 3053 and thus no longer off limits, it is a strong contender.

The main issue with the Penetrator is aside from one variant it's all energy. It'd basically be the BK with Ecm, JJ & high mounts.
The Bander would be a fun mech but I'd be worried about it's hard points being too spread out, having all 3 weapon types tends to be more detrimental than good unless it's an assault mech like the Atlas.
The DF would be hilarious and epic at the same time. Hilarious for it's phallus laser and epic for it's high mounts, ecm, ect.

K.
I don user over half the mechs in the game. Not sure of the need to keep posting to that effect, though?

It's not high on my list anyway, neither, but I can see why people would suggest it. And, since that important to me, it has its place in lore for being piloted by the ace of aces, Kai Allard-Liao, and a Lyran hero, Archer Christifori (even if his Clan config cannot be reproduced).

I think its main selling point would be the looks. I can imagine this Mech would look fabulous once PGI's artists got their hands on it. The winged helm...
Being an FWL mech makes it a little 'meh' for my taste, but I would give it a try if it looks as good as I imagine it. It's not like the LCAF say no to a captured mech.

Still, the Daikyu could be interesting. Fast 70 tonner with UAC5 in each arm (and an ER PPC in one of the arms) as well as a torso mounted MedLaser and LRM 5 for backup. I imagine hardpoint inflation migt well give it multiple arm mounted ballistic points on a 70 ton chassis which runs a 350 XL engine as Stock.

The reason I brought up those mechs is because each of them has ECM, like the Anvil. It'd be good if the IS got a good Ecm heavy that's at least of comparable quality to the Hbr.
Some more Ecm equipped heavies that have no timeline issues are:
War Dog, interesting & ugly at the same time.

The Tbolt, Maurader & Hopper both have variants that have Ecm but some use tech that's not in game.

What about the catapharc that is in game, out for c-bills and has ECM?

The CTF and Tempest are both rather sub par performers, HBR is a tier 1 robot.

That's a 0X, not a 0XP.... an important decision that allowed them to be lazy and simply recycle the existing model as is....plus the primitive ECM equipment (not Gaurdian) and sensor dispenser would have been problematic.

^ So, which would be the best addition?
Ecm heavies:
Anvil - 60t energy & missiles, jj & high mounts, comes with a 325xl if I recall correctly.
Bandersnatch - 75t mix of everything but has 10 or so HP's, needs made up variant.
Penetrator - 75t energy & missiles, JJ, 325xl, high mounts.
War Dog - 75t ballistic & energy, 300, middlish HP's.
