I don't know, the Black Hawk-KU seems pretty perfect

This is a very well build Mech indeed. Good hitboxes, good engine, good hardpoints.
The main problem with Omnis is the inability to change the engine, and in this case, I'd go with the XL300 anyway for mobility and firepower. (The 300 rating is generally very efficient, too).

Why would you want that if you can get the original (and better) for 10 tons less?

The Black Hawk-KU is simply a well designed Mech as far as the limitations of IS tech allow. In MWO it would be solid enough even with mediocre quirks. It's better than many other options. And compared to the other heavy IS Omnis of the time, especially the Avatar, it is a masterpiece.

Yeah.. an orignal canon integrated PGI creation. Was hoping for a Hellhound (separate from the Conjurer/ WolverineIIc) or updated Flea from the older concept. Kiiiinda similar, could finally shut the speakers on those whining its to similar to the Locust. Yeah because the Valkyrie/ Wasp/ Stinger/ Phoenix Hawk/ Firestarter/ Commando and other humanoids arent similar enough... Cant wait to know what it really is though, in the coming hours.

Hmmmmm, 25 tons of weapons plus unknown energy port. Likely an xl engine, easily a heavy Mech. Looks like the auto Cannon is in the right torso opposite the energy point.

I'd say something55-65 tons with a 260-300 engine range based off tt, whether it's omni or not i don't know.likely not unless it uses a lfe.

If that's a PGI original....then they did a better job with the Roughneck than whatever that mech is supposed to be. Looks like a Locust, an Archer and a IS Rifleman thrown into a blender.

A sunspider? And it's not a quad mech nor does it look anything like a spider.

Looks good to me, though not as distinctive as the Roughneck. But looks like the champion had a big, Clan, brother.

Fun fact, "Sun Spiders' are not true spiders nor true scorpions (they're also known as Wind Scorpions or Camel Spiders), but they're closer to scorpions than spiders.
The scientific name is solifuges

Scary stuff! Posted Image

The mech looks pretty cool though. Will most likely end up buying it.

Beyond "meh" on the new mech. We really needed another heavy chassis? I mean, if PGI is going to make their own homebrew stuff, then fine, but it'd be nice for them to give some attention to the underpopulated weight classes and tonnage ratings.

Oh well, I guess some people out there will like it; and props to them for it. I guess we'll see what other announcements they have.

Anther note on the Sun Spider, sounds like she's an Omni mech with 6 free slots in one of the locations, to quote the PGI source, enough to mount a CGR.

Being a Battlemech instead of an Omnimech would've made it more interesting, since the Clans are severely lacking in non-assault Battlemechs in MWO right now.

Fun fact, "Clan Goliath Scorpion" is not a true clan, nor large, nor scorpions. They're closer to drug addicts than Clansmen, which explains why they get turned into whipping boys for various clans over the years. Posted Image

At least they have the good sense to follow visions, like us Nova Cats. Too bad they need to shoot up to experience them, though! Posted Image

But, seriously. Good looking mech. If it was 60-tons, I'd be interested. However, it isn't. We have two 70-ton mechs right now. We have only one 60-ton mech. Priorities.
