... Mechs like the Lancelot or the Flashman were around during the FCCW and in 3025, so they are a good choice for both games.
And then there are the other TRO:3025 Mechs, like the OST-Series, Charger, or the Hermes II. They were around in both eras, too.
I am not sure if PGI is willing to release post-Clan Invasion Mechs like the Argus at this point, unless it is a huge seller. But who knows?

I read on a thread where everyone was asking where the heck the next mech was, that Tina stated that PGI plans their mechs in month in advance. I'll quote it here:
"Just wanted to note that upcoming 'Mechs are locked into production months ahead of their public announcements and are not altered once locked into our development schedule. The 'Mech announcement delay is simply to finish up a pattern on the pre-order concept.
But thank you for your patience!!" - Tina Benoit
If that is really true then I wish they would bend their own rules, since I won't be throwing my money at them anytime soon if they have the clearing now from the agreement to release the rest of the nuseen. At least for the remaining IICs if they are planning to wait on releasing the Crusader, Longbow, Wasp, etc at Mech Con later this year for the MW5 announcement.
It 's not a matter of bending rules. It takes time to create the art, approve it, create the model, do the meshes, add the skins, etc. Plan hardpoints, etc. There is no way anyone sane would have done the prep work before the settlement ink dried (and that is making the giant assumption they have the rights to make anymore Macross Unseen, which is NOT stated anywhere), since if the settlement fell through that is a lot of wasted resources. Just having the Art is not an overnight thing, even for Alex.

So Alex Iglesias is not doing 1 single repaint, but drawing 4 mechs and their special camos:
- Wasp for light mech;
- Chameleon for medium mech;
- Crusader for heavy mech;
- Longbow for assault mech.
I like the cut of your jib, sir.
I haven't bought a mech since the Javelin. Will this next release tickle my grognard fancy? I sure hope so. Any of the mechs you listed would do just fine. I honestly think the Valkyrie would be great, and could reuse some of the Phoenix Hawk art (so could the Stinger and Wasp).
Cheers!

The reason why they are delaying the release is the unsurpassable explosion of hype that this thing is going to rock the forums with. They were taking the time out to texture jeans as an optional camo scheme so that everyone can experience fashion the right way in Mechwarrior Online.

.....sigh.
Last time they did were Civil War mechpacks, and the quality really suffered. Anyone remember Mad Cat II walking animation and general quality of Nightstar are tragic.
I really hope this is not the case.

since most of these settlements have NDAs? The only way we will likely know is when(IF) any new ones are released. They have already stated they cannot talk about it beyond the posts we have already seen. To this point none of the released statements have actually implied the addition of any NEW Classic Unseens, but that they could (at least PGI, but likely CGL) continue to use the existing ones.
IF (very if) they can release new ones, we will likely find out if and when they are announced. And even the existing TT images for CGL are certainly too late to be added to the new Box Set. And TBH.... if PGI can release new Classic Unseen beyond the ones we already have... the best such use of them would be as content for MW5 and then released as a Project Phoenix type pack after. Since every 3025 era mech released before is one less to add dazzle and sizzle to MW5. (Hint... for good marketing, the more sizzle content you can add to a new product, the better the sales tend to be).

oh...didn't you hear? The Mech and Map Development Budget had to be used fighting yet another spurious Chaotic Pyrite lawsuit.
No mech for you!
