Literally that is all the Summoner needs. That way you can swap out that ST mounted ballistic and put in a LPL or a ERPPC + DHS. I would love that since I run my Thor with either a Gauss or an AC10 in the ST + 4 ML.s

Needs: (in order of importance)
  • Endosteel
  • Torso Omnipods with energy hardpoints (located same as the ones with ballistic hardpoints)
  • More effective JJ (this across the board for the entire game); in lore it could jump 150m!!!

I've probably said so before in this thread, but the Summoner really needs a few more energy hard points.

Ideally, a right torso that has 3 energy located where the ballistics are placed in the torso. It needs this more than it needs extra tonnage. It already has the tonnage for a bare bones laser build, these hard points would give it the ability to corner peak and a little bit of hill humping.

depends on your definition of "need". If one means to be another soulless laserzombie, then indeed. I'd sacrifice a little Meta at the Alter of Diversity, myself.

I understand that, I'm just saying that the Grand Summoner is everything he is looking for, Endo Steel, FF, non fixed JJ's....


Even the prime Grand Summoner packs energy ST's! Hell only the Bravo mounts weapons we don't have in game, ATM 9 and ATM 6, all other variants use tech already in game... I'd be willing to ignore the time era we are in to get the Grand Summoner, even if it would largely obsolete the Summoner...

PGI isn't gonna unlock jj or give endo to the Summoner.
Best case scenario is STs with E, maybe more M, and better quirks.
It may be possible the power draw 30pt damage cap gives the Summoner more parity to the good mechs.
I've been poptarting 2erppc with decent effect and with a TC you get high velocity.
it's just that a heavy with a hot 20ppfld alpha is weak.

Ammo quirks would go a long way. LAZER DURATION, even further.
SERIOUSLY, 33% ERLL duration to make them like IS LL.

Missile spread. JJ boost.

invent an alt cfg with more energy hardpoints

it would go a long way to helping the summoner as it is hardpoint starved of energy and it has no podspace


Myth Lynx should have that probe thing removed too



Id like to see more proper mech design done by PGI rather than the TROs and have this game not leave mechs behind rather than just be mech pokemon for whales.

Like arm actuators on Clan Omnimechs, it is the most inconsistent thing done here. Of course... we can talk about the Vindicator-1X...

Why are we so eager to load the summoner to the brim with LPLs and ERMLs?

give it an ammo quirk and it starts wrecking face with a single UAC20 + a couple ERMLs and an srm
or... a single UAC10 + ERPPC + SRM.

But on a summoner? No.

That art screams, 'leg the jumping mech'. Goodbye shield arms as well.
Besides, PGI isn't gonna remodel the Summoner anyhow.

I am firmly in the camp of adding more hardpoints via omnipods amd reducing quirks accordingly. A summoner with the F and M variant side torso omnipods provided energy hardpoints could run a really cool 6x C-MPL build or even a decent 2x C-LPL & 4x C-ERML laser vomit build. Those same side torso single energy hardpoints would also provide ERPPC and S-SRM/ SRM build with backup weapons.

As for ballistics, PGI could honestly make it so that ballistics come equipped with a single free ton of ammunition with the weapon, as well as provide resupply consumables and stations.

I also advocate for more diverse selections of omnipods on most clan chassis. Considering their lower heat capacity, evem giving a Hellbringer a 3x energh right side torso would at best mean 10x SPL on that fragile chassis.

There is no valid reason to have the JJ locked on a Mech like this with no weight saving tech and few hardpoints.

You cannot be treated seriously if you think it is Okay to vary weapon stats but refuse to budge on mech-specific TRO tech.
