Thunderbolts Creating Bad Gameplay

I saw a lot of topics about the Tbolt and i see a lot of ppl blaming clan pilots or clan for having the timber or the stormcrow.
Now i can say that those 2 clan mech should be toned down a bit BUT the other must be buffed because they are nearly unplayble in comparison to those 2.
About the Tbolt i love the chassis BUT the 9S its OP, pgi need to reduce the heat quirk from 50% to 30% at least.
No OPnerf post would have been written if that quirks were on the Awesome (still 50% its a bit too much IMHO)
sorry 4 bad english.

Thanks for playing though.
Maybe not for you. Thanks for helping to make this game I play way too much happen.

This next comment isn't directed at you, this is from 10 or 11 months of posting on these forums.
These forums begged for PPCs to die.
They wanted ballistics to be nerfed. Some STILL want ballistics to be nerfed.
We deserve what we have now, and we all get to suck on laser vomit all day every day with competitive options only existing on a handful of outliers or niche mechs because these forums are full of myopic, short sighted man-babies.
I only think we need a minor tweak to the ERPPC heat quirk on Thunderbolt-9S. That's it.
Personally, I think PGI balance has an extreme tendency to not actually figure out what's wrong for months (more like half a year at least) before they change things. That's less to do with the players... but more to do with PGI's inability to figure out "there's something wrong" or ignorance to the matter "as long as those hero mechs get sold" which really makes these lopsided changes look like it's the community's fault, which is not where the blame pie should fully fall on.

How much Armor can an Atlas have in it's STs?
Does it have enough armor there to run an XL?
No.
So do you give the Thunderbolts EVEN MOAR armor than that? How much do you give them to overcome their bad geometry so they can run XL?
...
Comparison of IS XL survivability with clans is something else.
Regarding Bad hitboxes and bad geometry:
You can not deflect projectiles coming at you. I don't think a timber or HBR can do that.
you want to know how much more armor?... take an IS XL friendly mech, analyze it in a pool of 50+ games by the percentage of hit distribution between its 3 torso hitboxes and apply damage reduction to STs until you reach your desired survivability.
You justify giving a new weapon (ERPPC with 50% less heat is a new weapon) to a mech due to bad hitboxes. Bad Hitboxes has its own solution... its not bad hitboxes that causes your mech to be shot at.
And i don't think 3xERPPC TDRs run XLs btw.

Are you saying that Hellbringers can't mount PPFLD?
Or are you saying that Hellbringers can't be as good at it as a Thunderbolt and all of their other advantages over Thunderbolts aren't enough to make you happy?
How hard do Hell Bringers need to totally dominate Thunderbolts then because if they had equal damage out put the Thunderbolt would clearly be the inferior mech.
...
Take a (somewhat) realistic 12 second engagement window (engagement window depends on ones playstyle). An HBR can shoot its dual ERPPC 4 times for a total of 80 damage for 33.48/85.2 heat while being partially exposed (in order not to hit the ground). In the same time window, a TDR can put out 150 for 46.92/73.4 heat while being minimally exposed.
tell me how much ECM can save the HBR?
(you can check the numbers in case i made any mistakes)

At least skirmish is pretty fun still.

For the record, I'd like this game to have the kind of balance where the stock Summoner loadout isn't laughably bad.

There's a Thunderbolt-9S sale starting tomorrow. Let's see the experiment go through its course.

Oh, someone else who remembers the last ppc experiment. I remember when the medium laser went extinct and the ppc became the default weapon of choice.

As if that typical Clanner firing line behind the walls with their enhanced energy weapons was a pure joy to fight against. Yes, by all means gut one inner sphere advantage
