We'll see what happens after tomorrow. Currently there are certainly a lot of ghost drops against Liao the last few days; nobody from Liao showed up. It's unfortunate.

Unless they plan on changing how the attack/counterattack vs defend system is determined, sadly it probably will not. At the present moment there is no real reason to play CW, the planets mean nothing, and the monetary incentive to play it is minimal.

Amen. It's been difficult to get 12 mans up on the Liao side at all, and it doesn't seem like much interest remains. For all the back and forth about all the CW mechanics, the gameplay and CW hasn't been fun enough to keep people coming back on the Liao side. It seems like a lot of this is happening all over, but with the already small faction we have, having a lot of people not care anymore pretty much kills the viability of it for a lot of people.

Hopefully tomorrow picks things back up a bit, since CW being dead three months after launch would be sad.

You know how I feel about it MadWOPR first hand. Unfortunately it currently is not that exciting to many Liao players, the benefits to play it are minimal at best, especially when you take into account that there is really little chance of success due to CW being about having a high population 3 to 4 hours before the CF rather than being about skillful combat. Perhaps after the patch it might change, I do not know. But MadWOPR , I am always willing to beat my head against the wall for fellow Squawkers like yourself.

Lastly , Harathan.. No one is forcing you to ghost drop on Liao ,that is something you are choosing. You could always pick another place to go fight that has some population numbers, yet you do not. It is not my problem or anyone else's that you feel you are being forced into anything. That my friend is of your own choosing.

What I basically gather from the Liao forums is that Davion is the one faction no one plays because they actually *like* that faction (never mind that my entire in-game identity is based on my limited TT experience) but is solely composed of win-farming bullies.

Gotcha.

Honestly I feel a lot of people who play Davion , are like yourself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it from my eyes. It is one thing to be a loyalist Davion unit and to be a Merc unit that fights for Davion though. I would go further into this but this is not the forum for it though.

12% = roughly 1 ghost drop for every 7 battles, funny when added together that makes just the number needed to flip a planet.
theoretically, at that rate of ghost drops, every single world that is flipped could be based on WHO gets the ghost Drop.

12% is a HUGE MO FO number! Not an insignificant one.

The FRR is very well aware of how ghost drops influence planet flips, not only are ghost drops happening, but the planet is also "forced" into a single mode selection for the side that has the 12 man advantage when teams are matched by forcing continuous "counter attacks'' for Ghost dropping defenders side or 'attack' for Ghost dropping attackers side.

This last part could be fixed by not actually selecting/locking a sector until teams are matched or the timer to find a team expires.

Why birds? I thought we Mariks were the birds.

You´re confusing your fictional prejudices?

I'm pretty sure the reason that Marik is at a + in planets and Liao is at a - is that Liao blames all of their losses on Ghost Drops so they don't seek to improve, while Marik takes the loss, accepts it and then figures out ways to get better from it.

So you have personally spoken to how many Liaos and Mariks? You seem to know a great deal about their attitudes.

I mean you must have spoken to them. Who would conjecture things based on nothing but forum posts? Heh, that would be silly.

It absolutely blows my mind when people make these huge, dumb generalizations about entire factions based on the tiny percentage of people who actually post in the forums. Sometimes we're talking about less than 5-6 people wearing Liao colors in any particular thread.

Dont seek to improve? I would LOVE to see my w/l stats on CW drops, because even PUGing I have to be playing at least at an .850 or .900 winning %. I'm not sure how much more we can improve on winning almost all our matches.

But there IS a big difference between Marik and Liao. Know what it is? Here's a hint: numbers.

To be fair, 5-6 is like almost 50% of the number of people Liao fields in CW.

Very true, yet Davions still have nothing better to do then attack a defenseless opponent. It is kind of sad if you ask me.

Faction grouping is in, but you have to be on friends list to add.

I encourage all Liao in NA TZ to add me to their friends list. Then tell your Liao friends to add me.

Group for glory!

Mixed prejudices. Fictional and MWOical...something. You know, Goons and such. ;)

And as you asked, Mariks are Neighbor-hating Civil Warriors. B)

Liao peeps, add me to your friends list if you need one more for a group that actually intends to win at CW. I can follow orders and if it's early enough I can shoot straight.

We have 70 people in our unit but we play about ten CW games a week due to general apathy and chaos.

If you can run a good game, I'm always interested in joining.

Ghost drops now down to 8% with almost all of them happening in the first few hours after Ceasefire.

:)

Looks like auto wins are now down to 8% of matches - very nice - next patch with queue info could help further

Most of that 8% is also in the early hours of the battle windows

IMPOSSIBRU!

This only works if all 8% happen in Liao space. Otherwise it is evil lies spread by PGI to support their capitalist Davion allies.

Or... actually, it's pretty universal and Davion tends to win more than they lose, which lets them better capitalize on their 8%.

*should* kill it. Only the most asinine Liao players would still be claiming at this point that Davion are entirely ghost dropping their way to victory.

Did I personally offend you or something? Seriously dude. First, if you honestly feel that any part of my post was trolling, even tho the majority of it was quoted from others, feel free to report it. Second, you bothered replying. You could have *not* bothered, the thread would have died, but you *chose* to come and throw dirt. Third, I wasn't the one to post the initial revival, so your ire is aimed at entirely the wrong target.

Stay classy.
