With the Matchmaker Mode Mechanism (M4) changes, it is imperative that a much closer watch be kept on Clan worlds. Inner Spere predation will put our worlds at increased risk as IS aggression wil be that much more likely to find purchase on our own worlds and once dug in, will prove that much more difficult to excise,
M4 changes will surely prove to be a two-edged sword as it **** our offensives but degrades our resultant defensive efforts.

No Factional contract bonuses were forth coming from PGI and thus there were few enticements for Mercenaries to come to CSJ and assist in pushing back House KURITA and its Mercenary horde.

I find it unlikely such a foundational change will occur at any point prior to Community Warfare 3.0 is released. (Though if PGI finds CW-related revenue streams are beginning to tank, it remains a possibility that an interim Community Warfare 2.5 may be released in conjunction with a map reset.
A suggestion that for me originated when I read it on Twitter is that the map reset to some point well beyond the initiation of the Clan Invasion. Thus each Faction would have a bulk of planets from which to base their operations. This would BOTH make Factions more robust as well as serve as a concentration of Commerse upon which to base and balance "World Valuation": http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4343647
There is much PGI can do to now "tune" its CW BETA, I just hope this occurs soon rather than later.

With the current status of CW (Clan Wolf owning just about all the core systems surrounding Terra) it does not make very much sense / there is very little utility in retoolling the CSJ OPORD at this time.
However according to the last Townhall, Russ appears intent on a CW map reset with the upcoming Steam Launch... whenever that may be. It is my intent to kick off this upcoming map reset/Steam Launch with a series of new CSJ OPORDs and FRAGOs. I will pay particular attention to providing background and resources in order to best position/enable the vast (hopefully!) number of new Steam-Jaguars which will be joining us post-Steam Launch.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The single most important component of the upcoming Steam-Base-OPORD will be encouraging all new Steamers who manage to find the our forums/ the OPORD will be directions to Strana Mechty TeamSpeak as well as CSJ Unit contact information for those Units wanting to assist Steamers in learning the game/investing the time and money in overcoming the still rather steep learning curve to make MWO a fun and rewarding gaming experience.
It will not be every Unit nor every Unit Leader who will have the time and opportunity to link prospective Steam-Jaguars up with their Unit recruiting/training Officers. Collecting the right Unit POC information / TeamSpeak Times and Dates will likely prove to be of critical importance in ensuring CSJ makes the most of the Groundswell of new MWO gamers that a Steam Release will generate.
In many ways it will be like "MWO Rush Week" the week or two after Steam Launch. CSJ Units might do well once the Launch Date is announced in picking one or two nights where mass "New Gamer Nights" could be held in Unit Private matches where as many Steam-gamers are incorporated as possible... remember the new gamers at Steam-Launch will be the MC-buying, Mech-Set-purchasing prospective Pro-gamers of the future.
Investing Time in recruiting/retaining gamers during the flush of Post-Steam Launch gaming just might go a long way in Providing the Future Strength of the Jaguar during the associated "Grey March to Terra."

This launch comes months earlier than I had thought it might. Some measured degree of forum-angst has been expressed by MWO-gamers claiming they are concerned that perceived flaws in MWO will serve to limit the success of a Steam Launch at this time.
I look at it this way, MWO's Steam Launch has been announced, whining and complaining about it serves no use but fan useless forum flames.
Buy in, get onboard, brace yourself and let us all make the most of the the impending influx of new gamers while we can.
With the Steam Launch it is still expected that there will be a map reset for CW. I look forward to gaming from my CSJ Loyalist account after this map reset.

2). A solid Recruiting/Retention effort [Steam Launch will be as mana from Heaven IF CSJ structures even a basic level of Reception, Staging, Onward-movement and Integration (RSOI) program] Steam gamers are looking for fun, if CSJ Units / Solo-gamers can police these Steamers up during their initial few Quick Play gamers or in their first few CW drops and offer to help the, understand MWO by sharing some hard-earned MWO lessons learned (Teamspeak channels primarily, but also MWO forum threads on Mech design, game mechanics, Unit resources, etc) the more likely CSJ-influenced Steamers will enjoy their MWO experience thus continue playing MWO / earn their way into CSJ Units or become CSJ Solo-gamers.

And finally some Mercenary Corps Unit support - both recurring CSJ Mercenary Corps Units (those who rotate between CSJ and their Inner Sphere House of Choice) as well as Mercenary Corps Units (remunerated by CSJ Loyalists or not) who as a result of Unit Vote decide to take their Unit's first Post-10DEC contract with Clan Smoke Jaguar.
In addition to the above "Keys to Success" there are no doubt many other equal / better means for a Unit or Faction to excel once the Community Warfare map resets with MWO's launch on Steam. Please add your ideas to the comments under this OPORD.

MISSION: CSJ Units conduct Attack and Hold Territory missions to standard and with sufficient repetition in order to contribute measurably to the Clans' Liberation of the Inner Sphere.
EXECUTION: Enemy Center of Gravity is expected to be the preponderance of Loyalist and Mercenary Corps Unit COMPETITIVE (COMP) 12-man Teams under contract to House KURITA. While Solo-gamers will likely serve as admirable Defensive formations for CSJ worlds, in order to successfully liberate Combine Worlds, CSJ must be able to form and maximize the effectiveness of Smoke Jaguar 12-man, Teamspeak-enabled teams. The ebb and flow of TEMPCON Units are expected to settle into reciprocal patterns as "named" Mercenary Corps Units (228, -MS-, Antares Scorpions, VRGD, etc) chose their primary Faction and supplemental Faction (one being Clan, the other being Inner Sphere.)
While there will not be many CSJ gamers with the C-bills to entice Mercenary Corps Units to take TEMPCON with Clan Smoke Jaguar, it will become increasingly important for Clan Smoke Jaguar Benefactors (a gamer who offers and fulfills contract terms to third party Units) to deconflict amongst themselves so as to preclude duplicate payments to... enterprising Mercenary Commanders. Inadvertent and unintended duplicate payment has occurred within unnamed-Factions in the past and will likely become and increasing danger in the future. Remunerated Mercenary Corps Units can potentially play a decisive role in a Faction "winning" Community Warfare, wisely coordinating and synchronizing contract offers to "vetted" Mercenary Corps Units should be an informed and Faction-friendly process.
If any other CSJ gamers expects to offer one or more contracts to Mercenary Corps Units, please identify yourself in this thread (or PM me) and I will add your name to the applicable message group. Just as a Mercenary Corps Units are "vetted" as an honorable Unit when they make good-faith efforts to fulfill past contractual agreements, Contract Benefactors are "vetted" when it is publicized that they have indeed made good on all contract terms by donating to individual Mercenary "unit funds." I would like to see CSJ get the best utilization possible from C-bills expended in this fashion without double or triple payments to the same Mercwnary Corps Unit.

I had hoped PGI would release some additional Steam information, the timing of the map reset / resumption of Community Warfare or perhaps even some form of CW 3.0 update now that CW Beta 3 is about to commence.
On the off chance PGI may have something waiting in the wings in the next couple days, I will hold off on finalizing the current DRAFT OPORD.

It is expected that this product will be refined to take best advantage of evolving combat opportunities across Clan Space.

ASSESSMENT: Idlewind is lost. Immediate efforts must be undertaken to liberate this CSJ world. A troubling tactic has surfaced during matches against House Kurita (specifically though not exclusively when playing against Eams led by -NS-) today - at different points of key terrain and amid the swirl of an aggressive Clan Counterattack, IS pilots were shutting down Blackjacks. Only to restart them at critically inopportune times once Clan forces had been otherwise engaged. Both Counterattacks failed. While the Shutdown-Blackjack tactic was not the proximate cause of the failed Counterattack, it did contribute to breaking and disorganization at least three Clan waves that I noticed.
RECOMMENDATION - A double tap into Inner Sphere Mechs as well as the use of BAP is expected to mitigate the resurgence of this Inner Sphere tactic.

I will be adjusting and reposting a base order for the release of CW 3.0. It will be based on what has come before but I plan to hold off as long as possible to ensure it is as complete a product as possible and then follow it up with both a Career CSJ Loyalist perspective as to Invasion Corridor "choices" as well as first 24-hours Battle Tracking. A fairly quick FRAGO can be expected as well within the first 72-hours as CW3.0 has a chance to shake out and become better understood.

All in all, the patch makes for some excellent, immersive gameplay.
Unfortunately Clan strength isn't what it used to be back in our hay day, so we haven been able to make the most of some of the cool new dynamics in play.
As a matter of fact, I have yet to drop in a CSJ Invasion Match but I do have more than 75-Scout Missions completed, so at least I will have some thing to offer on that topic. To find Invasion Match I have been forced to use an alternated account and will draw the necessary insight and assessment from these matches.

I particularly liked how the whole ebb and flow of CW3.0 changed yesterday with the reinforcement of CSJ by -MS-. Such numbers and talent make way for a distinctly different manner of CW3.0 gaming than CSJ has yet been able to manage as we have lost all planets but our single beachhead Inner Sphere world of Richmond.
The loss of -SA- and DERP has been particularly hard felt. And all due respect should be accorded those CSJ Loyalist Units yet remaining true to CSJ under CW3.0.mAnd as the weekly Mercenary Contracting Wheel continues to turn, I would hope -SA- and DERP return to CSJ in due course. I for one would welcome their contracts with CSJ, just as I am with -MS-.
I will hold off another few days on the release of a CSJ OPORD in order to best incorporate BOTH tomorrow's expected Hot Fix changes and the manner of gaming made possible as -MS- joins our ranks... taking an Inner Sphere world has yet been something I can participate I despite my many CW3.0 match. Compiling successful Invasion mode notes, observations and assessments would be central to this next OPORD.
As to -MS- 7-day contracts, I completely understand that Mercenary contracts are for 7-days at a pop, I hope -MS- gaming in CSJ becomes a rewarding CW3.0 experience, with CSJ becoming a #ClanDestinationOfChoice for -MS- gamers.

ESPECIALLY now that both FRR and House Kurita are in the process of Counterattacks against two of our CSJ worlds, the complexity, potential and possibility for combined or dispersed Scout Mission and Invasion mission execution, has really added numerous layers and stratagems to CW3.0 IMO.
As we are getting to expeience these new situations in game, they are being captured for inclusion in the soon to be published OPORD.

Insufficient reason exists at this time to substantially change OPORD 15-017 included above (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4871782)
While it remains possible Clan Smoke Jaguar will experience a high degree of Loyalist and Mercenary recruiting, retention, and reactivation success, until such time as CSJ regains its lost initial world's and makes sustainable headway into FRR or House Kurita, the above linked OPORD will serve as a suitable reference OPORD.
