wtf is with the economy... its [redacted]

how the **** can i get 4M [redacted] to buy an engine when i only get 100k on a good game ...

so buring to play a ******* mech that goes slow and then i have to play 100+ games in it just so i get enough money just to upgrade it with one and i repeat ONE engine and then play another 50-100 games just so i caqn buy some "good weapons"

boring [redacted] and its just a gamebreaker for me ... ill maybe come back when they fix [redacted] income

no wonder why this game has got such a low playerbase

i had friends to play with and now they left becouse of this economy and fps issues

Huh? Nothing wrong with the economy and its certainly not easier to earn money in other games. UInless they use instant gratification and last you a week because you get bored of being a billionaire.

The economy is bad. It's basically a question of how much is your time worth? Sometimes its easier to just drop real money on 1 mech you really like instead of grinding for weeks.

Hello, I'm of the same opinion of you about the harshness of the economy, but I think you can make it easier for yourself. You should try to play in a way that maximizes your rewards under the current system. Destroying an enemy side torso gives you a good chance of getting the "kill most damage dealt" 5000 cbills, if you also get the finishing blow on the same mech, that is an extra 10,000. Fighting alongside allies (especially in the endgame) tends to give savior kills. There are lots of other things that will add onto your match pay too.

The free to play economy used to not be bad. The MC prices and package prices have always been bad.

Don't worry! All you have to do is carry your team, score 7 kills, 750+ damage and you too can earn a measly 200k!

3 months ago, everybody assured me that 40 hour grinds for good mechs was totally fine.

Are you saying those people were wrong?

Agreed, the first mech or first mechs are being the hardest.

After you start getting a few you can swap engines.

Even now before I buy a mech a huge consideration I look at is the engine, if it's going to be useful or not.

You can play clan mechs for a while, they come with decent engines and you can't change them :). Find another way to have fun in the game and before you'll know it you'll have enough cash to buy your engine.

I don't play that much, but started having fun with what I had and started to rank up cbills. With this last round of sales I almost didn't notice but had enough and bought myself 11 new mechs.

So find something fun to do and cbills will come and you won't notice it.

Good luck dude

The PGI economy is just like Dunwall city in Dishonored.

It's completely powered by whale oil.

Not everybody Vass. You love to make the broad sweeping strokes. And I still say 40 hours is nothing.
CBill Average per Match
84,396
Per hour (4 matchs)
337,584
In 40 Hours
13,503,360

Now the cost of the Nerfed Omnis is just sad. And in my opinion should only have been in place IF I as a Lyran could buy and Use one. A Clanner should only have to pay a price equal to What I pay for a Inne Sphere Mech.

Even you have to admit a lot of players do find the current CBill payouts to be bad, or else these threads would not be made all the time and a clear majority of those that write in these threads agree with the TS. It's basically you and a handful of the same guys that think it's fine.

I got tired of posting screen shots of Victory's with 300-500 damage, 1-4 kills and CBills that were 90-120K
so, yes, the income is NOT what is should be. XP Seems to be twice what it was a year ago. XP can't buy mechs.
Add to that if you drop arty, or a UAV, too many battles where I grossed 30-40K, and we won?
You're incorrect.

And a loss? Or a battle with low damage? Like MOST noobs or below average players get?

Its NO wonder this current event is barely to the 40% discount...we simply do not have, can not keep, can not grow a player base.

You can exploit the system. I got screens of this behavior too!
Grab a light- a nice cheap one thats fast, take a single large laser, charge the enemy, and lock them all for a second (ever see blinking triangles at the start of the match with no real locks?) Some light rush up and grabbed the scout bonus.
Now, spray them all with a single large laser- dont do any real damage. Just get the assists
Next, watch for enemy attacking friendlies and hit them with that single ERLarge IS laser- you get flanking and defending bonuses.
Now go hide till the end of the match. Try and get behind the enemy but do NOT engage. Just lock targets.
then, at the end, Swarm in, and target weak limbs and pop a few off.
Your team loses, or wins and you actually did very little to help that. BUT done right, you have 150K++ paycheck.
how is that better than the heavy who kills and cripples half a dozen mechs turning the battle to victory?

ding ding

I do quite well. Rare is the match that I do not gross 100K in. Its STILL LOWER than it was 6 months ago.
I am more concerned about the noobs who download the game cause it looks fun, get stomped and can't do crap after the cadet bonus wears off and moves on....
See my thoughts about the current event and our player base above.

40 Hours? This is not a job, it's entertainment.

Sorry this grind is bad. If I didn't already have most of my top mechs and modules I would probably not play much if at all. Thing is I get pretty bored meeting the same old players again and again and want to see new players. With voip it will be fun teaching and helping them. Going to get pretty frustrating when new players keep quitting because of the grind. It will affect PGIs bottom line once they reach the death cross due to lack of fresh blood. All businesses do over time. New players need to be excited about the game to spend real money. If you continue to frustrate them during the climb they won't spend cash in the end.

I cannot help it if the expectations of the rest of the players is ridiculous.

I have a sweet looking Axe in Dragon Age... Well there is one in the shop. It's 124,000 gold. You have to be 18th level to use it. I'm 16th lvl, I hardly buy anything (crafting for the win) I have 23K gold.

If I was like you folk, I'd be pissed off cause I can't buy the axe!

And If I think the pay is fine where it is I will keep saying so. Is that a problem for you?

Light and Mediums should at least get a little bonus on their cash after the match.
