It's quite fun, and SARNA stock too

Kitfox and Adder do well, in my hands, when hanging with the heavies.
Kitfox can ECM(dont feel obligated though, chumps can bring their own) with 2erll and 1 erml. Gets hot fast but reall just poke at whatever the nearest big guy is shooting at during his cooldown.
Best scenario is you have an off-angle from the enemy, they are shooting with your Assaults/Heavy and you shoot the enemy during his cooldown.
Adder can do this as well and has nice high torso E points. Ridgehump like a boss.
Dont brawl IS lights...on your own, you will get circled and chewed up. DO fight IS lights near your heavies to protect them.

PS: I am not trolling.
Three reasons to play a Kit Fox:
1. ECM/Active Probe/Triple AMS support bubble
2. 2 CERML and a Gauss Rifle
3. 4 CSRM6 + lots of jump jets
I could come up with more reasons, but these reasons describe the three variants I run. The first is my Prime, the second is the canon Kit Fox Alt. A, and the third is my S model. They all have a useful purpose, and I enjoy them very much.
You could also wub your Kit Fox...

In CW, they exist as tonnage sinks to cram in bigger robots. Except most Clanners forgo them entirely in CW because they're not particularly good, so they just use a mixture of mediums and heavies for the most part.

Adder the ultimate fire support. Packs the firepower of an IS medium, runs faster, and has a low profile.

Because:
Also, running it with a gauss and two ERMLas only puts it two ERMLas short of the Gauss/ERMLas Stormcrow. For a light mech with fantastic peek and sneak capabilities, you can play it light an extra medium mech on the team. Really is a gem of a mech!

Still waiting for one of the clan crybabies to produce a video like the one here for Adders for the TDR....

use them as escorts and not scouts, and they're efficient.
now the mist lynx....don't get me started. fun, but completely worthless.
I've found that my Mist Lynx can be quite effective. You have to play to your strengths. This thing is the greatest ninja mech we have - lots of JJs, decent speed, ECM, BAP. I can run around spotting and harassing to my heart's content. Sure it's not a high damage loadout, but you can fit a couple SRMs with the ECM and shoot ppl in the back nicely.
The Kitfox is an amazing sniper mech or just SRMs on legs. One of my setups has a UAC5 on the shoulder which is deadly when hill sniping. The kitfox has so many options for damage and customization. It's literally a pintsize Timberwolf. Plus it has the option for ECM and triple AMS making it a godly escort
I think the trick to the Clan lights in general is playing like you are actually a squishy mech, unlike the IS lights which often seem to take way more punishment than you'd expect

since you guys like brawling a lot you might think about trying either a UAC10 or UAC20 in the right arm. It's pretty funny because it looks like you literally are holding a double barrel shotgun because of the shape of the arm. It also really surprises people when that little kitfox is actually a Yen Lo Wang in disguise

I prefer my Mist Lynx for CW, in pub que I play whatever I want
That being said, I have done a uac20 kitfox before. Still prefer the guass as its a no heat weapon even in a brawl.

Oh, and the Kit Fox is also an ECM+AMS butler, serving drinks and snacks for the Storm Crow / Timber Wolf master race. But less popular these days, with the Hellbringer being available.
You might say they need quirks to survive, but I don't think that's really the case. They need better core stats. Acceleration, turn rate and, above all else, hardpoints. The Adder laserboat has 4 hardpoints, which is utterly ridiculous for such a slow light mech
EDIT: Forgot to mention the Flamer. PGI adding insult to injury by nerfing terrible light mechs with locked weapons. And the locked weapon happens to be the flamer, which has been utterly useless since 2012, with no explanation given.

They are much slower and pack a hell of a lot more weapons---use accordingly.

Most are at similar firepower; while being slower, with less cooling, with hotter weapons.
They are played like bad mediums. Don't be seen, don't be shot.
