Unless there is a truly compelling reason not to (e.g. the enemy has engaged in dezgra antics) then yes: I will order my star to pair off and fight it out. If the shereoids violate Zellbrigen I will annihilate them and then procede to purge all traces of their command from the galaxy.

I would do it unless we are all damaged badly or in highly inferior mechs for weight class. In other words if I was in a Medium or Heavy then I would accept unless it was a long range mech such as catapult or Jagermech. But then again I'm gonna spend a lot of time in lights and mediums so it might happen a bit or not ... who knows.

I'll decline and proceed to win conventionally at least till melee combat will be implemented and we agree on solving it that way.

I wont respect it because the game mechanics dont support such a gameplay. Its the same as asking in Counter Strike for 1v1 duels in a 3v1 situation.

Nope, would not... if they were unskilled, and scared and weak-minded they'd surely not end up with a 3 to 1 numerical advantage over the lone claner after a fair fight.

One of my favorite TT games was agreeing to Zellbrigen with our resident light junkie with my assault lance... And then breaking it when I had him outnumbered so he couldn't swarm me... And had the audacity to be surprised.

I can't for the life of me remember which of us was Clan and which was IS. I almost always played Jade Falcon and he pretty much exclusively played Ice Hellion. However it was also me and Scrapper, whose rivalry and history of stabbing each other in the back was the stuff of legend. XD

Around here though, I don't know why I wouldn't agree to Zellbrigen. I've always liked the whole honor thing in MW/CBT which is hilarious considering I'm such a scoundrel in every other game on the planet.
